Default Ads blocking search...

"Be Sure to use the Search feature first, as the topic may have been posted already."

So we expect the members to search but we block the search box with a pop up add. I realize this site needs sponsors to survive, but this is annoying and taking away from the functionality of the site. I literally was trying to search so I didnt make a duplicate thread, but wasnt able too.

Hummmmmm. I am not having that problem, but I do remember it was a problem a few weeks ago. All I had to do was go to a thread and search from there.

--edit-- I have a popup in user cp, but I can still use the function. You should pm a mod

Mouse over the 'FORUMS' drop down at the top of the page and click '-Search-' right under '-Get New Posts-'.

As for the other search button.. it has never been blocked by an ad for me. Maybe its a Win-doze thing.

I'm actually at work, we have windows here, firefox at home. I moused over the forums, and search was not there...

I know other people are having the same issue. I wouldnt make a thread if it were just my issue.

I know what he's talking about regarding the search feature.

On some ads at the upper portion of the page, when you drop down the search field, it falls behind the ad and you can't see what you're typing or know if your cursor is in the field. Not all ads cause interference, but some do and it's quite annoying to have to go to a different page or keep reloading the page in order to be able to get to the search field without having an ad block your access/view.

Yep, I had to do the same exact thing before. Pretty annoying. The search box should have "on top" precedence over anything else.

I can't believe people actually find anything using normal search. Best way to find stuff is to use title search.

you didn't need to search. all you had to do was scroll on this page since it is still on the first page

I just looked twice, I dont see anything on the first page... If the title doesnt make it obvious, would you like me to read every thread in the archive first?

on first page

thread title:

"

sounds descriptive to me.
