That sucks. You could make some good assumptions by the number of points a poster had.

 

Can't say I'm disappointed. I felt like a lot of people were posting stupid threads just to bump up their points. I know I posted a few useless threads in the off topic section.

Maybe this will help clean up some of the spam.

All I saw was that it ENCOURAGED post whoring.

I think that was fairly obvious the day the point system was introduced.

Check out this thread. the new Mod Mike was giving away free. The point system has been disabled to keep people from posting stupid posts to make poitn and slowing the site down.

They still seem to be incrementing. I can see mine when I login, they just don't show in the posts....

 

Since my posts and points always seemed about equal, I didn't lose much. I never understood the system either, and there was a short period when I felt unloved and unwanted.
