Default Anyone else having problems with peter@m1?

First off, let me say that I bought from him because of his supposed good standings with this board. His iTrader looked really good and seemed to be a reputable vendor. I know now that this is not the case.... (at least as far as I'm concerned.)

Feb 16th- I placed an order for a damaged hatch at a deep discount. Was told the hatch is at the buyers house and will be shipped to me from that location.

April 6th- M1 charges my credit card for the amount we agreed on.... Still no hatch.

April 20th- Finally get fed up of the runaround and ask for a refund. (giving the seller a chance to do the refund instead of having my cc company do it)

Today, Still no refund.

Between these dates there have been many many PM's, and phonecalls but still, no hatch, no refund.

I type this thread to expose you, Peter. You have been shady towards me just about this whole time. Why was it that every time it was ME initiating contact?? I understand you have a business to run, but understand you have my money, to me that is important. Wether thru PM's here, or phone calls I have had nothing but trouble from you. You informed me that the hatch was never shipped from the residence in Ohio, but how, after months of waiting (and fighting) is this my fault? Peter, when and if you ever find this hatch, I'm pretty sure you can guess where you can put it. Bottom line here is you have my money and I want it back.

wow another vendor in trouble? Never dealed with the guys at m1 but for the most part they seemed on top of things at least on the forum and when guys had trouble with CRG. I'm confused about this buyer situation in ohio tho, were they just acting as a middleman and helping another customer sell a personal item? I thought m1 was based in socal?

Story goes like this. Buyer in Ohio purchases a CF hatch from M1, hatch shows up damaged buyer requests a new one. M1 sends him a new one, meanwhile selling ME the damaged one which is not in their warehouse, but was supposed to ship directly from buyer in Ohio to me in CA. apparently the hatch still remains at the original buyers residence....

Today I got a PM from Peter saying he is not a thief, which I don't think he is, I think that the deal shouldn't have been made until he had the hatch back in his possession. Now 2 months later I have no hatch, and no refund.

Peter, you told me in a PM today that you initiated a refund with my CC company and could provide a confirmation number for that..... Where is that confirmation number? Why does my CC company say that there isn't even a refund pending? This is your chance to make this right before things get out of hand. Again, refund my money. And I suppose while I'm waiting let me have that confirmation number you are talking about, my CC company needs it for the investigation they will be starting next week if the refund is not made.

don't worry, i bet peter will get everything sorted out right. As you know, it only takes a hand full of complaints to hurt a business, and i doubt peter would want that. sucks that your going through all that trouble. gl

Sounds to me like you jumped the gun on the purchase, and should have let the original buyer ship it back to the vendor before you made payment. You knew the circumstance. Most of the responsiblility is placed upon the original buyer, that he will ship the damaged goods when he says he will. You're making a payment upfront is not going to ensure the original buyer will quickly remove and ship the item. The vendor sounds like he sold it to you in good faith, hoping the original buyer would get off his lazy azz and ship the thing.

Sounds like common sense to me. I wouldn't give my money up to someone, when they have no control over a 3rd party...

Vo, I didn't know the hatch was at the buyers residence until after the deal was made. Peter said he had a damaged hatch, not that he had a damaged hatch in Ohio.

For the record, there is still no pending refund.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm not trying to cause a **** storm, I just want my money back. I understand that I am not his only customer and that he is busy, but it doesn't mean I'm not important as well.
