sounds like a handful of people have been scammed by these scumbags. maybe yall should try to contact everyone who has been scammed and push towards a lawsuit? I cant believe someone is able to do this and not get ripped to shreds by either the legal system or an angry victim!

FFS. So I gave them instructions on how to make payment to me via western union and I told them I wanted it done today and I get no answer.

I told them that they can expect some visitors soon as well.

Didn't have time to post any new threads, but it'll be the first thing I do when I get home.

I believe him, jus don't wanna end up with problems of my own..I live here! if these guys r seriously gonna refund the money then they shouldn't have a problem meeting me n giving it to me in my hand... That's the bottom line.. No excuses. If this doesn't work then its official, I have been beat.. Enough chances, tell em ur old friend is coming down to pick up the paper Wen n where can we meet.. Then I'll paypal the OP his funds.. I'm putting this out there cause I hope someone looks me out in time of need...

I've done it b4 for those familiar with the NE threads, a Guy posted he needed help wit the location he was buying a car from n asked if some one would check it out for him.. I chimed in along with a few others. Went down there with the camera n shot pix.. The place looked bombed out..I posted then in the thread immediately saving that Guy some bread! jus doing my post to help out a few brothers..

So op get on it n talk to who ever offered to wire that money. Set it up n done!

Ray

I wouldnt count the wire transfer as complete BS.

After spending two years in the performance industry (over on the honda side) its actually pretty damn common to do wire transfers for any international transactions either in or out. Mainly because the fees are normally pretty small, and you (as the company) know the money is going to get there safely (as long as the account information provided to you is accurate that is)

Then again, by the sounds of this company who knows.

Also, be sure to make it very clear to paypal that they requested it be sent as a personal payment. This is 100% against the rules of paypal. Paypal does not **** around and will normally close down or put holds and lock up their account till they sort it all out. The downside to this is, i dont know if it will help you get your money back any quicker. I would be damn sure to still report it to paypal even once you get your money back.

The last thing I would do is give these scammers my bank account number for a wire transfer.

got two emails from them on weds:

Oliver, I am just seeing this email now as I didnt have a chance to
log on until now. I know your under the impression that Im dodging you
or we dont want to refund you, but nothing could be further from the
truth. If that were the case we would not even bother communicating at
all. I do understand it has taken a bit given the circumstances, which
we have made you fully aware of, but rest assured it will be taken
care of fully. Regarding the payment method, it doesnt matter where
you are in the world, its known as a wire transfer, and it can be made
from any account to any account. If you however prefer western union I
have no objection. I will let Chris know today as soon as I can reach
him so I can get it going on his behalf. Please also keep in mind Im
on a holiday schedule this week personally, this is one reason why my
replies are delayed.

i replied saying i'd like a western union transfer or ray to come by and pick up the cash. Also said sorry for the tone i'd taken in one of my previous emails.

got this a few min later:

Its ok Oliver I do understand and dont blame you for feeling distrust.
Im doing my best to cover things for Chris in his absence, he and I
both have always been on the same page about our customers, and in 8
years hes never stolen money from a customer so you can rest assured
my word is to be taken securely. The only thing I can ask is your
patience during the holidays, but I am grateful for how patient youve
already been as I know none of this is your fault. Ill talk to Chris
today and email you back afterward, but can tell you that neither I
nor Chris will be meeting anyone
. Hes with his family in and out of
the hospital, during christmas to make matters even worse. Id like to
have it documented, as would he, Im sure you can understand
i replied again, but haven't received anything back since. Someone on one of the other boards ive posted on who claims to know chris has backed up chris's story that he is away dealing with family issues. really not sure what to do now. it seems like the money either isnt there or Mark doesn't have access to it.

Don't apologize to these a-holes again, especially since they're still stringing you along and asking for "your patience during the holidays" They're just jerking you around and stalling. Commerce doesn't stop for the holidays and banks only close on Christmas day. PayPal and Western Union are online 24/7/365.

FWIW, I'm also a trauma/acute care nurse, and family members rarely stay at any hospital 24/7, even in the most dire circumstances. It would take a few minutes to transfer your money, they've lied to you repeatedly, and still are.

Not trying to make you feel badly, but I also don't want to see you ease off these a-holes for any reason they might provide.

+1, the most common excuse from these kinds of folks are family medical issues. they figure most will cut slack for that kind of situation and even feel a little sympathetic.

their personal problems are NOT your problems. results or bust!
