Default this site is being unusually slow today

and it's not my connection. my building has beyond T3 connection. i think it's called OC3 or something.

no kidding this is the slowest site on the net.. hands down.. with all the sponsors paying on this site u would think we would get a better server

This site is so fking slow I had to venture over to zcar.com. Shame on whoever is responsible for that.

Oh, yeah! Why didn't I think of that!? I just noticed I can select the "Make Site Faster" option and click "Go."

Nah, really, I would guess this is a database issue. I bet the indexing data has filled up RAM and is swapping out to the hard drive or something like that. Or it could be traffic... or some combination. There's nothing I can do though.

Yes, while that maybe true toykilla. It also depends on the hardware running the forums. I've noticed when i come to this site it does some directing off of ***.net from what it looked like.

Navigating this site with a cable modem at home or DSL at work is slower than surfing the web with an AOL dial up account...I now usually log off after opening 3 or 4 posts as the waits are ridiculous.
