Default Vortech yesterday, HKS today

Seems like its the week of the supercharger here at Z1. Finished up a Vortech with some dyno tuning yesterday and made some pretty nice numbers, 375whp & 316wtq with an 11.5/1 average AF and pulling 1 degree of timing per lb of boost.

Today we finished up the install on an HKS and I have to say the mechanics love the detail that went into this kit. The only thing that I question is the fuel line that actually runs in through the throttle body. Seems like it could create some idle issues due to turbulance. Anyway, on with the pics

THose are some nice numbers on the Vortech. Did you install the 9 pound pulley? How many dyno pulls did it take to get that number?

Nope, stock pulley. It took about 12 runs to get the A/F right. The R4 software is very sensitive to changes so the cell values require some fine tuning to get a nice curve.

the crawford plenum works with HKS.. i had wondered about it given the placement of additional fuel injectors.. by any chance does the crawford strut bar fit?

those numbers with the stock 3.33 pulley on the vortech are VERY good...car must be aggressively tuned up top. Great job!

I was told right from HKS that you CAN NOT run a plenum with this kit due to the FCON S and not codes to tune it

that was my understanding also.. i had contacted the shop here in Japan and they made it point to tell me that their kit was designed for stock Zs.. the pics and hopefully an upcoming dyno / AF chart will prove this wrong..
