Has anyone done this yet? Im sick of the max flow bov and all the filters/foams etc.. mods. I would imagine i would just fab a thin metal plate and rtv sealent for the original bov, and just weld in the aluminum 60mm universal hks plate. Most importantly will this bov get rid of the leaky sound in vaccuum/deceleration?
there are one or two guys that Ive heard had changed the BOV...but didnt have to change the flange . I think....Greddy has a universal BOV that fits the stock Vortech BOV flange

Yeah, I've got the Greddy type S bov. Universal valve fits the vortech.

If the Greddy or HKS BOV will work in place of the Vortech Bypass valve and get rid of that sound, I would definitely rather do that.
I've never heard the Vortech Bov so i cant really compare. Its always going to make a sound when you come off the throttle as the air has to go somewhere. I think some kind of filter is your best bet if you want sound attenutation.

I agree all have to vent, but i think its the design of the outlet that may amplify the whistle. I have the filter and foam. The bottom line is you should not have to **** around with the bov when you buy the kit.

I'm gonna have my shop weld me on a nice HKS blowoff valve in place of the vortech bypass valve...the pressure on the plate is too much now, im even venting air at times when on the throttle in low RPMs. Very annoying, and it flutters like crazy.
