Default your FI input please (Vortech)

ok, I have a Vortech, that I am FINALLY going to install... There are some things I am wanting to get and wondered if some of these things are stuff that I should get or not so much...

Vortech Kit 350Z
-93" 6 rib Gates belt
-JWT oil spacer kit pre tapped
-ECU Patch Harness
-AEM wideband or other?
-DEFI BF guages (Boost, fuel pressure, oil pressure & Control unit)
-NGK Sparkplugs 1 or 2 degree colder
-Vortech stainless steel oil line kit
-Nismo Thermostat
-Oil cooler kit (what brand?) should I
-greddy oil catch tank? does this really help..

These are things I might add now or later.. haven't decided.
-AEM fuel pressure regulator
-Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
-PE380CC Injectors
-9lbs pulley

what should I cut out or add? Thanks for any help!! I can't wait to get this on my car...

Cat,

I can give my opinion on some of the items I have on my Z:

-93" 6 rib Gates belt: very tough to get on the stock pulley. I had to remove the entire belt tensioner assembly and Dremmel out additional space to allow for the tensioner to drop further.

-JWT oil spacer kit pre tapped: I still tapped the lower crank case because the return line is gravity feed and tapping the spacer would put the oil return line under 6 quarts of oil. The only reason I got the spacer because if some of my engine oil is in the Vortech unit, it ain't in my engine lubgrating stuff.

-AEM wideband or other? I have the Zeitronix wideband O2 and boost gauge/ dattalogger. Definitely a must have no matter what brand you buy.

-NGK Sparkplugs 1 or 2 degree colder: I have the 1 step colder plugs. part # LFR6AIX-11

-Vortech stainless steel oil line kit: Bought it and installed it but I don't think its worth the $$ because it only comes with a feed line.

-Oil cooler kit (what brand?) should I: Limited space, would probably have a hard time finding a place to mount in air flow.

-AEM fuel pressure regulator: see below

-Walbro 255 Fuel Pump: useless with the Vortech fuel managment set up. If you for go the inline fuel pump and the FMU that come with the kit a larger in tank fuel pump would be ideal with a custom reflash and tuning.

-PE380CC Injectors: sitting in my garage waiting for me to install them. Plan to use R4 software to run the injectors at idle and vaccum.

-9lbs pulley: have it and am actually hitting 10.5 psi at 6800 rpm!

Good Luck!

Cat
Get the 93.5 Gates belt
Go one step colder plugs
oil cooler....waite till you see how hot you run in the summer
catch can...IMO...window dressing
oil spacer....get it....no need to tap
thermostat....good idea in Texas
If your going to add the smaller 3.12 pulley...It would be a good idea to go with AAM return fuel system , with the Walbro in the tank ....bigger injectors...380cc should be good...but wouldnt hurt to go bigger...Im putting in 550's . That way you can ditch the FMU and the aux fuel pump
the ECU patch...good idea...wish it was out when my SC went in
Hope it goes smooth....Bill

what's with the colder plugs. the installation manual I have says use stock plugs (which I thought was odd). I'm installing one in a friends car in 2 weeks.

Not sure why that is in the instructions. Why do I need to get the 93.5 gates belt?
