Default ordering TT kit tomorow....

Tomorow is the big day !

ordering my Greddy kit for my g35 coupe 5AT.

Need to know if I'm missing something

this is what I'll be ordering so far :

-Greddy tt kit with FMI
-Profec e-01
-greddy turbo timer
-greddy spark plugs
-Apexi bov
-fuel pump
-Greddy front bumper

At the same time I'll be pulling the motor for Pauter rods and Arias pistons 9.0:1

Thanks !

gmadd:
i commend u for doing the forged internals at the same time as the tt install ...might want to get the greddy ignition harness to retard timing (around 30 bucks)

look at some of the threads recently up about engine rebuilds:
you'll need:
nissan gasket overhaul kit
arp main and head studs
main and rod bearings (machine shop will order these)

good luck,
TODD

Ooops !

Thanks 350zDCalb , I forgot to add the harness.

I don't want more than 400whp (...yet)
the shop said that he'll put a new gasket

But are the arp main and head studs really needed for 400whp ?

Thanks again !

Your building the motor up with better rods and pistons, might as well not make the studs the weak part of your motor.

Small investment (main & head studs) for a motor that's about to be overhauled . . . I'd also suggest addressing the fuel system as a whole, rather than just the fuel pump. You could save this for phase 2 if you keep the unit at stock settings. If you pushing more than 6lbs, I'd get the return fuel system since our OEM setups drop pressure like crazy in the high RPMs & moderate boost.

So where can I get the arp main and head studs for a good price ?

I will be leaving it at stock boost for now, but I will get a fuel return line if I up the boost past 6lbs.

SGP Racing has ARP main and head studs, heck I believe they are the one's who made them available to the rest of the public.

By NISMO internals do you mean their pistons? If so, they are redabged JE's, and their rods are rebadged Carillo. Before ordering any internals, you should figure out who is going to build the motor for you - use whatever they recommend. Every engine builder has their own favorite brands, and its the type of job you do not want to do more than once

I have read that the low temp thermostat can throw a code on some versions of the ECU.
