Default Crank Angle Sensor signal intergrity

Hi Guys,

A discussion piece on the crank angle sensor signal issues is now up on the APS web site. It runs through the issue, symptoms and solution and I trust that you find it informative.

It's at http://www.**************/350z/ecu/crank_signal.htm

I believe it's a tsb. Your Infiniti dealer should be able to order it.

Yeah! A TSB # Would be awsome. I'd like to take my Z to the dealer in the spring when I get it out of storage and have it fixed right away.

Guys, enough about the TSB....LOL. IT IS AN OLD TSB! And it has nothing to do with the wire itself....they replace the sensor. It applied to certain 2003 models.

I am glad that the wire Phunk is making for us addresses this issue.

And I REALLY appreciate Peter and APS sharing this information with us publicly. Enough though it doesnt benifit them financially, its terrific that they are helping people with other kits, potentiall avoid a disaster. On behalf of everyone with F/I kits on the 350Z.....thank you!

I somewhat disagree with you... Peter has won me over with his willingness to share this information, and I'm sure many others will be equally impressed by APS actions.

This may not provide them with immediate - instant gratification, but consumer/brand loyalty is the ‘Holy Grail’ and I’m certain people that were on the fence between APS and another company’s product will see this as the determining factor in their buying decision whether it’s immediate or in the future.

Great job Peter, I applaud you and APS for your efforts. It's a happy day when a manufacturer is willing to go above the call of duty and not just hang around the forums to push their product(s).

I meant....it doesnt help them immediately but helping other manufacturers like Greddy and PE, solve their issues for them. APS put the time and money an do effort into the kit.

Like I said in another post, I think the goodwill they generate will help them more in the long-run.

I think it already has. Seems like more people are considering APS now that they've established a good reputation.

If I had the money at the time, I'm sure I would have gone with the APS kit, but it just wasn't in the cards. Which I'm sure has happened to others as well. But i do believe you are getting alot more.

We definitely appreciate the write up . . . what really cracks me up is how everyone moans about the price of the APS TT. Take any other kit, add a fuel & timing solution, and install the CAS fix . . . Depending on how much you paid, the APS price is virtually equal and requires no hacks! Anyone want my Greddy kit?
