Default Completed build up pics: 56k ok

I started this project on Dec 22 04 and had the car running on Feb 8th 05. I did all the work myself except the machining and some porting. I did use a friends lift and hoist

Let me tell you, this is NO easy task, there is alot of running around phone calls and late nights. I would guess at least 125 hours of my own work assembling and checking everything the machinist did for correct clearances.

I had to mill relief areas for the Crower rods and had a couple of issues with the CP pistons for the oil jet we all love.

It was all worth it when I turned the key yesterday and she lit off in 1 second, the oil pressure came up quick, No piston slap, No valve train noise and no idle problems with the JWT cams, thanks TS!

I drove 100mi last night and will dyno her on the 25th of this month.... I will keep you posted.

Here are some photos!!

What supercharger are you running? I am surprised you went with the stock 10.3:1 compression. That's the first time I see a pic of the Crower rods. Very nice!

Agreed. I believe he is using a Stillen s/c since he is using their plenum, as far as what stage, no clue, hopefully stage 3 to compliment the engine work.

Nice work, it looks great. Oh, and GLAD to hear you had no problems when you started her up.

I was at stillens stage 4 before the major modifications. If you are not aware when headers are added cams, port mods ETC WILL change the boost you once had to a much lower level.

I am in the process of returning back to the 8-9 psi range till the larger M-90 is ready from Stillen that will be able to provide MUCH more volume and boost.

I kept the CR stock because of many reasons, some may understand some may not. In CA the CARB laws can be very limiting on what is done or IF you try to sell your vehicle you will need to pass a dyno smog test and ANY bolt ons without EO#'s are illeagal.

The Stock CR will work well up to 10-12 psi on 100 oct W/ good intercooling, this also allows me to remove ANY FI, pass smog and reinstall without removing the motor and replacing the pistons every 4 years.

I like to think ahead.. if I had my choice and did not live in CA the APS TT would be on my car now.

I finally got a chance to reply to this...wow...looks really good. That torque plate looks like its made from gold.

Good work on doing this yourself...must have been very rewarding.

Daren, check your VM....wanted you to 2nd day those bearings. Thanks again for helping me out in a pinch!

Looking good. I'd love to see what this puts out. Thats Great news about the M-90! I really like a good Roots set up for the Street but the M-62 just doesn't have anywhere near the flow to put out the numbers I wanted.

Plus It's nice to see a bulid up on that system just for something new. Please keep us up to date.

Definately keep us posted. I would like to see what kind of dyno numbers you get out of that gorgeous piece of metal you call an engine.

Unfortuantely, Kim lives on the island of Saipan..near Guam...and there is no dyno on the entire island. His trap speeds and ET's can give a good indication of power.

I live near the Irvine Spectrum off the 405/5 interchange.

This coming Friday will be the day, so far I have been turning pulley's and I am back up to 7.5 PSI of boost. Tonight if it does not rain I will be installing the last pulley I can possibly use and hope to be over 9psi boost.

Even at the 7PSI the car is MUCH more powerful than before and the sound @ 6800RPM is something you need to hear to believe.

Are you going to the Chino Hills meet? I'd love to check out the car in person.
