Default "APS scam going on!! Beware!!"

It has been brought to my attention that there is a guy trying to scam people on my APS kit that I had on EBAY. He sent everyone who bid on it the following e-mail
You expressed interest in an item titled:Nissan 350Z APS Twin Turbo KIT Item number: 7950442763 by bidding, however the auction has ended with another member as the high bidder. In compliance with eBay policy, the seller is making this Second Chance Offer to you at your bid price. The seller has issued this Second Chance Offer because either the winning bidder was unable to complete the transaction or the seller has duplicate items for sale. If you accept this offer, you will be able to exchange Feedback with the seller and will be eligible for eBay services associated with a transaction, such as fraud protection. To purchase this item please contact the seller: rizorica0@yahoo.com To learn more about Second Chance Offer go to: http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/personal_offer.html Thank you, eBay Inc."

The only way I found out was when people started emailing me telling me that they were comming by my shop with $3900 to pick up an APS kit??!?!?!WTF?? I also found out that he posted a thread on the EVIL site with a story of having picked up an APS kit on EBAY and then getting fully sponsored by APS so he needs to sell that kit for under $6000..DO NOT entertain this asswipe if you come across him..This was the email he was using.
rizorica0@yahoo.com
Pass the word not to buy an APS kit from a non authorised dealer, cause if it sounds too good to be true, there is a reason why..PASS THE WORD!!BEWARE!!
Daking350Z on **********,Feb 12 2005, 12:56 AM ^^

Just thought i'd share it with our site so everyone knows.

noahzburnt, One thing unless you have the kit in hand we recomend you not to post it for sale!!!!!!!!

I received several emails offering the kits to me but I know they were not legit due to the email address they came from and it was not from DAKING..

Honestly there are so many new scams poping up from ebay these days..

You might want to re-look your emails there NoahzBurnt!!

I didn't take the guy seriously but I am sick of ******** like that who ruin
e-commerce.

Thanks man

GUYS, there appears to be some confusion with this scam.

After some hostility between me and DAKING350z

we have come to the conclusion that I misrepresented myself by saying I made an appointment to pick it up.

The confusion began where it appeared as if I made the appointment with DAKING which I did not. The appointment was made with : s b <rizorica0@yahoo.com> aka yup5@bibort.net

The one who contacted me for the sale

It appeared in my writing that DAKING was the one who never showed up which is INACCURATE and FALSE

DAKING has actually been not only helpful but insiteful as to protecting myself and others in the Z community from people trying to get one over.

I am writing this because if either I or DAKING350Z came across as being part of this it was purely a mistake in the expression of my thoughts in this post.

I along with others will vouch for his integrity and others will vouch for mine.

I appologize for misleading people and if I tarnished his reputation I am sincerely appologetic.

Thanks and happy motoring!!!!

Now for those of you who called me an "asswipe" I think this should also clarify about my "non-existant" sponsorship
as well as earn me a due appology:

Letter #1:

Hello noah,

We do not have an exact kit for your vehicle yet but I am sending you this email because I think you might have a vehicle that we would work will with a modified existing system or our universal kit. I could work with you and help you find a dealer, or if you have the means I would enjoy helping you make a kit for your vehicle using one of our universal kits.

Contact me for more info and we can talk about a kit for your vehicle.

Thank you.

Letter #2:

Noah,

Brady from STS asked that I give you a call to follow up with
prototyping a STS turbo kit for your 350Z. E-mail me back and give me an
idea of what you are looking for with this vehicle, what parts you already
have installed on the vehicle, etc. I will also need to know what model
year, version, and transmission you have.

Take care,

Christian.
www.moderngarage.com

Now I am most likely not partaking in this for I cannot achieve the gains I was hoping for w/o reaching ointo my pocket to build the bottom end with forged internals(that and shipping this thing to moderngarage would cost quite a bit)

Now in a bid of good faith I will glady assist/pass off my oppotunity to get a remote mounted turbo done so long as Brady at STS approves of your CAR(Unless u called me an asswipe)

So in summation:
DAKING nor MYSELF we're involved in a scam whatsoever. The only thing i'm guilty of is believing that the guy who tried scamming me was legit. I mean stupidity is not a crime so I guess i'm not guilty of anything

Good luck and if this needs further clarification please do not hesitate to pm me or even better my cell # is in the SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY post....
