I am picking my car back up tomorrow from AAM. I just wanted to start off saying how great is was working with them. Anytime I had a question it was very easy to get the answer because those guys were allways around. big help in my learning how things work.
Anyway I had my car there a few weeks back and there were big problems I was only running 260 something to the wheels. Now I am putting down 335whp at .5 bar. AAM and HKS are working together right now so that AAM can mill me a new 9lb pully to get my boost up. cant wait for that.
Now before the haters jump on this about to much $ for that little HP I DONT WANT TO HEAR IT SO PLEASE KEEP YOU THOUGHTS TO YOURSELF.
Only problem that I know of was the a port proboem or lack of with the kinetix plenum but they made things work in no time
Installed was
FCON pro V
AAM fuel rails
440cc injectors
A/F knock amp
wide ban 02
EGT guage
Kinetix cats
Kinetix plenum
DC headers
Think thats it LOL Thanks to DAve and crew at AAM and see you guys soon for that pully and maybe some cams

Why HKS over Vortech? This is not about the $$$.
I ask because it appears you are going for a well-packaged, relatively quiet, under 10psi boost, centrifugal sc setup.
Vortech is more of a trusted name in the game of centrifugals ... so I was just wondering why HKS
Anyhow, glad to see did great work, as always, and congrats on getting your car back.

the hks is much nicer IMO than the vortech. I'm not a fan of the vortech on the Z really. Their kit is nowhere near as nice.
More problematic as well....
but thats just my opinion

This is why I went with the HKS plus I payed the same for the HKS as the vortech would have cost me.

Awesome man
You've gotta let us know how your new beast rides/drives/dynos. I'm betting the HKS will be an awesome unit, as most HKS products are superlative in their class.

I assume you are replacing the pulley on the SC? It would be appreciated if you can let me know what the pulley diameter is once you have it fitted.
FYI. I believe the minimum pulley size that you can use that will retain the warranty on the unit is 92mm versus the stock 95mm. Now my calculations are based on 148mm crank pulley with a redline of 6600 rpm. This will give you an impeller speed of 99559.50 and a shaft speed of 10498.73 which are under the 100,000/10,500 warranty point.
I would be really interested in your results.
Michael
PS: Great guys at AAM. They shipped the kit internationaly for me.
