Default Install 380cc & AAM return system on Vortech

Hey All,

I have a set of PE 380cc injectors sitting in my garage and I'm waiting on AAM's V2 return style complete fuel system and Walbro 255lph pump to be ready. I'm going to do the install myself whenever all the parts are in and tune it myself with the R4 and my Zeitronix dattalogger.
Does anyone else out their have a similar setup on their Vortech? And if so, how is the driveabilty with the all of those fuel upgrades? Just wanted to get some first hand impressions.

Thanks,
Steve

My dyno with the stock 3.33" pulley was 360whp. I've had a 3.12" (9lb) pulley on since December though and I haven't re-dynoed yet. I've seen 10.9 psi on my boost gauge at 6900 rpm in first gear before and have seen numerous times over 10psi so I'm thinking there's a bit more horsepower for my next dyno seesion. I just want to have a rock solid fuel system first.

Vortech has a SplitSecond tuning box which controls fuel and timing. I called SplitSecond last week and they said that the most effective way to tune the vaccum or "off boost" fuel ratios is with an OBDII scan tool. But I may just tune all the vaccum rpm cells about 20% leaner and see how it effects the A/F. If it just doesn't work out I'll just get my ECU reflashed by Altered Atmosphere.

I have 550 injectors with a return fuel system .The vacuum side will be easy to tune . You first need to set your FPR to 48 to 50 psi and then adjust the injectors on the fuel map . All the numbers on the vacuum side should be about the same . The best way to get the right number , is start to lower the numbers on the vacuum side by [ 0.1 ] at a time . Let the ECU adjust . When you think you got it about right . Go to your dealer and have them check the A/F ratio . And do a Air/ idle learning test . They check the A/F by reving to 2000rpm and see if its ok . You may get a check engine light while you are doing all this . Reset the ECU when you get it .PM me if you want to talk . I'll send phone # Bill
