Default Zeitronix

Based on some postings in another thread (which I did not want to hijack) I am considering purchasing the Zeitronix unit and had some questions.

1. what other units did you consider before deciding on Zeitronix
2. for those who are using the EGT feature where did you put the sensor
3. how easy was the install
4. where did you mount the lcd if you use the lcd
5. how does it get and measure the TPS signal

thanks,

jk

Answer 1: AEM
Answer 2: Wired, but haven't installed Tap/Probe in right cat.
Answer 3: Easy! All sensors have wires. Splice into 2 ECU wires
Answer 4: NAV compartment on CF Plate
Answer 5: ECU

awesome - thats what i was looking for. Based on the website pics and description; It looks like you just drill your hole and tap it for the egt sensor - is this correct.

As of this moment, I have the Zeitronix EGT Probe and wiring harness through the firewall to the ZT-2. Went to NAPA and got a tap to match the threads on the probe. While it shows EGT on the LCD, I have not seen a need to monitor. Borrowed a friend lap top to do some data logging. It's fun. Now need to buy a lap top!

1. auto meter
2. tap/probe in right cat/ A/F probe in left cat.
3. fairly easy for a non-mechanic
4. where the Nav. compartment is for the G53
5. did not use it.

I did have to replace my stock cats dueto the fact that there was no room to place the sensors. I bought crawford Z high flow cats for my G.

I can't beive that people are not talking about Innovate Motorsports, as it is FAR FAR superior to Zeitronix and anything else out there. I also have written iinstallation supplements for or G35's and Z's that are available on their website.

Please do yoourself a favor and look into the Innovate wideband. It can log and record not only A/f, but up to 5 more (and in the future, 30 more) channels of your choosing, including accelerometer, MAP, EGT/CHT, etc... and any 0-5V input channel that is freely definable in the software. You do not even need a laptop, as the LM-1 unit will record up to 44 minutes of 6 channel data with 12 samples /per channel/per second data rate, and you can later disconnect the unit from your car and bring up to your home computer and download it for full analysis.

Seriously guys, it's like comparing a Toyota Camry to a Z/G. This system takes ALL the guesswork out of tuning your car.

That looks interesting - anyone else who use this unit care to comment?
