My car should be going in for an install next week. I will post detailed pics and info including baseline dyno and turbo'd dyno. Purchase price was $4,900.

sweet man...congratulations. Have you thought about internals? I am working on some prices for a complete build and just enough to get by with. Did you get a kit from the first batch or the second? cant wait to see pics and info.

redline, you may want to get a shortblock from SGP Racing with the parts you want for ~3800 (installed, blanaced, bored, etc.).

DITTO!!!! Yeah I'm looking to get a built long block in the next year. After that thinking I may switch to a 62-1 or T66 and go for the gold...Shooting for the 700s

my long term goal is about 600-700rwh, but this is like a 3 year goal, so i say if i start now, by getting a block to rebuild or to just build up and quire parts while i still have warranty, then as soon as it is up on the motor it gets pulled and the built one goes in.

what does the + 2000 core mean? If it is another $2000 why not just say it is $9500. I hate when prices are advertised like that. Only $199 plus this plus that. Just give me the bottom line dude!

Upgraded Long Block #3: $7500 + $2000 Core

the reason they do that is because they want your stock block as a core to use for future rebuilds. they know that by charging the large core amount you will send them your block & not keep it around or get lazy & put off sending it back. once they recieve your stock block you will get the core charge refunded. they dont list the core charge in the amount because some people have the option to send thier stock block to them before purchasing the new block if they wanted, so the extra core charge would not apply to them.......

Short block is just the block. Long block is the block and heads..

I guess they could be called "short block" and "tall block"... A short block is the bottom end: block, crank, rods, and pistons. The tal-- I mean, long block is the short block plus the heads, cams, valves and so forth.

I sent mine back to them within a week after getting the short block and had my credit card credited back the $2000 within a week after that . No big deal

Thanks guys I was kinda figuring that but wanted to be sure.

I will be getting the Turbonetics kit after they release the High Flow Cat version, then maybe later next year to step it up and also consider getting the AEBS VQ35DE Stroker Kit 350Z...

T-Sleeves
* Patented three-dimensional support design eliminates sleev movement under extreme dynamic load
* Solid deck T - Sleeve technology provides greater head gasket surface sealant area
* Additional piston skirt support for new stroke
Connecting Rods
* Pauter E.D.M drilled for wrist pin lubrication and piston cooling utilizing under-the-piston oil spray
Pistons- Turbo 8.5 : 1 / 100mm, engine size 4231.16cc
* Includes chrome steel rings, wrist pins and clips
Head gasket
* Custom cut Cometic head gasket
Crankshaft
* Material: 9325 (custom billet steel, same material used in Top Fuel NHRA engines)
* Stroke: 90mm (stock is 81mm)

But I guess the SGP Racing VQ35 Engine Packages could be a good alternative?

Not needing anything too crazy, just want to have a good (safe) daily driver with nice power numbers
