Default Vortech + Injen Exhaust?

Would the Inject straight tip be good with the vortech SC? Im concerned about the size of the piping being too small. Feedback much appreciated, thanks

had it, actually i think it was a little too much, it seemed that i gained some power after putting the factory back on, i guess it was too much flow.

Injen is fine. We have a car running the Vortech with the Injen exhaust out here.

In my honest opinion get whatever exhaust sounds best to you. I have had three different exhausts on my car (this includes both true dual and Y-pipe type exhausts)and there isn't a noticeable difference between the exhausts.

Its coming from the mid pipes. They sent me replacements but they are still doing it. To Injens credit they are working with me on this and said if it doesnt stop in a month they will send me new ones.

I have the nismo exhaust on my car with my Vortech, JIC Y pipe and kinetix resonated test pipes. Works great, sounds wonderful!
JIC did make some difference to mid range torque i feel, cant back this up with any figures, but thats what i felt.
My car is untuned, must get it done!

The Injen exhaust diameter seems too small for any type of F/I IMHO.

I have the Injen exhaust with a Vortech and I don't think it can get any better if you're looking for true dual. If you're staying in the 400 HP range, you wouldn't need any bigger diameter piping. This is my 2nd exhaust system, before this, I had the Fujitsubo but it wasn't as loud and the tips were too big for my taste. With the Injen, sound is intoxicating...always turns heads, especially after I added the supercharger.

for me, with the vortech and my test pipes, the injen was too loud, it sounded good and had a good rumble, kinda like a v8 when downshifting, but it just got old being so loud.

I remember a post a while back and it was stated that 2 2.25" pipes flow better than 1 3" pipe. I dont think the Injen is bad for F/I-look at the guy from Jersey in his APS Z, he just retuned it and it pushing over 400rwhp @ 9psi trapping 118mph with an Injen exhaust, I think its just fine. Most people get so caught up on 3" this 3" that...

That because 3 inch flows better thus so many people stating its good.

If you want custom exhausts I recomend Full Race peformance shop out here In AZ all they do is work with FI and make custom exhausts for any FI setup.

Re-read my post. If you have 1 3" pipe vs 2 2.25" pipes, the two smaller ones will flow better, Ill try to dig up this old post, they get all technical in it and explain why.
