For under $1000, I would recommend the RPS segmented billet aluminum flywheel, and clutch setup. Good for roughly 550HP...maybe a bit more. If money is no object, the ATS twin disc or triple disc carbon clutch is the way to go. The twin is about $2000 and good for 700-750hp, and the tripple is about $2500 and good for 1200hp. This is with the stock feeling presure plate.

The JWT is 50% greater clamping force that stock.. Believe it's 1200 kg. The JWT feels like stock couldn't feel any difference..The cost for the clutch and flywheel was about $950.0..Install was extra of course

Those clutches are overkill unless he plans to go back and do bottom end build up later.

I'm sitting on a CMIII / JUN flywheel combo. Will go in when I can bear to be without my Z for a few days... driving weather is just too nice right now!

I'm not sure about what the best flywheel and clutch setup is for the Vortech... It all depends on how you use your car. I have a Greddy TT on my 350Z, and it is my daily driver (and I occasionally race it when I get a chance). I have the JWT Clutch and Flywheel, and I love it. Some people complain about flywheels rattling and etc, but I can't hear a thing from mine, except when I go about 1-4 mph, I then barely hear a little rattle when I have my music off and windows down, and when I am listening VERY closely to it. Then again, how many times and for how long will u go at below 4 mph? So, that basically means you will never even hear the rattle (if ur even able to hear it), except may be for a second or two.

The JWT Flywheel and Clutch are VERY streetable. It feels pretty much like stock, except it revs about 50% faster than stock and the clutch and engage point feel a little shorter, allowing you to shift faster and etc. I have NO problems driving it in stop and go traffic. I think the JWT combo is perfect for your daily driving and occasional racing. The price is pretty reasonable as well. Now if you want something more radical, for racing on the weekends and stuff, then I would suggest to go with one of the Tilton setups, I have heard good things about them for racing purposes.

Hope this helps. If you have any questions about the JWT flywheel and Clutch combo, then feel free to ask me if you like.

It's not overkill with regards to the RPS clutch/flywheel. They sell for $900 which is the roughly inline with any other standard clutch and flywheel setup.

Yes, the ATS is probably overkill, but increased longevity and hesistance to heat fade (such as drag racing) might be some things to consider. Also keep in mind that its abour $500-$600 in labor to change a clutch on the 350Z.

I just got my JWT flywheel/clutch combo installed the other day at performance in duarte. I was quoted only $720 shipped from one vendor, and performance hooked it up for $710+tax in store. LOVE the clutch and flywheel, I dont have F/I *YET*, but from what ive heard the jwt clutch can hold the power in the vortech power range well unless anyone has any arguements about that?
