Thumbs up Share your break-in/tuning gameplan!!! 350z school in session

Please share how you plan to break-in your built motor (so funny that we can even start a thread like this and have more than 2 people chime in--it's so cool that there are a bunch of us actually fully rebuilding our motors, so we can all share and learn!)

so many schools of thought, from ---get on it hard and dyno it from day one...to wait 1500 hundred miles of granny driving, then dyno conservative, put on more miles, then dyno for big numbers...

So, please...share:

-how many miles you plan to put on car before dyno-tuning
-pounds of boost you plan to run/hp/tq numbers you are aiming for on your first tune
-any other details that may help the rest of us get a better idea of what we should do to break in our new motors

The following seems to be the most popular

1. Initial start up running to full operating temperature...20 min..dump the oil
2. Fresh oil....under 3000 rpm driving for the 1st couple hundred miles....dump the oil.
3. Fresh oil....under 4000 rpm driving up to 1000 miles.....dump the oil.
4. Fresh oil....dyno and tuning......have fun.

Thats my plan.....but there are so many different schools of thought its crazy. There should be a consensus though on changing the oil a few times very early in the motors life. A magnetic oil drain plug is also a good idea.
