Default APS TT Stability under Extreme conditions

I asked this in a different thread but never got an answer

Are there any APS TT owners (specifically with stock engines) that run at the tracks. Since the claim is that no one has blown an engine I am curious on how many are actually running it at extreme conditions such as the track and if there have been any issues.

you're running a APS TT kit plus Nitrous and only ran a 11.9? I'm more worried about that then the kit blowing Just messing with ya.

11.9 @ probably 130mph. lol

You can have all the power in the world but without traction its a waste.

I have stated this many times, but I have put 10,000 miles on my APS kit already and that is on a car that just hit 70,000 miles... And I haven't had it on a road course yet,,!!!, but have had about 20 trips down the 1/4 with it with 0 problems... Stock block and best time of 11.82 @118 so far....

Here is the link to the thread about my 11.82

And no metal in the oil... We dumped it about 50 miles after the install, to clean out anything that was in there, and didn't notice anything.. And now I dump it every 3k. Have been running castrol syntec 10/40

My car is my daily driver and I'm beating it, I'm getting about 160 miles every fillup. So you can see I don't put around. I've been to the track 2 times and had a total of about 11 runs. No complaints from the car at all other than my nismo exhaust cracking all the time. I have the first version and it seems to be weaker. Ask anyone thats rode with me, I don't get shy with the boost. GTNPU Z, Scubasteve, Zcool all of them know how I beat it. So if its holdin with me at the wheel. The average weekend warrior has nothing to worry about!

Did you make your 440 on a Dyno Jet or load based dyno?

Thanks,

You need to get the unichip programed for your 8.5:1 pistons or go full stand alone; whatever it takes to get her tuned!

I'm approching 10,000km on my APS TT and have run in extremly hot conditions, 40c plus tempertures at my club sprint meets here in Melbourne Australia without any major problems, my only concern was the oil temp after 5 laps of flat out driving it was nudging 120c which is getting pretty hot for my liking so fitting an engine oil cooler is high on my to do list. I change engine oil very 5000km and to date the car is just going great, I did destroy my stock clutch at a recent drag meet, hope this helps.

Cheers

For those of us who are metrically challenged, a translation:

10,000km = 6,200 miles
40C = 104F
5 laps/flat out = 5 laps/***** to the wall
120c = 248F
5000km = 3,100 miles

I'm not sure as the intercooler takes up so much room, anyone fitted one on an APS TT'd car over there? I may have to get one custom made yet.

Cheers
