Default Got my crawfords today

I had them weld in a bung for the A/F. But I now need to weld in a bung on the other side for my ETG. Wheres the place place to weld it in? About the same spot as they did on the other side? Also those of you that removed your cats. Did you do it from above the car or below?

Confused on what you mean.....If you are refering to how to remove your cats then you have to do it below the car..... takes a bit of time because of where the bolts are located..... they are all 14mm if im not mistaken.....

need 2 wrenches open /box.... 2 sockets deep well/ short.... those rotating type wrenches help a lot and save time..... maybe even new gaskets depending on condition....mine all sucked.... the O2 sensors can be a pain to take out..... best to break them while the cats are still attached....

I read instruction before on Wide band sensors and read that you should install as far up the cat as is resonable so EGT should be the same and at a 45 degree angle....

If I misunderstood your question disregard......

Here is the most flexible method. Have an O2 bung welded into each of the two sides pre-cat (and I have crawdords). Then obtain an O2 bung plug (outside hex shouldered and drill out the center with an ~21/64 drill and tap with a 1/8th NPT. Put the EGT sensor into this adapter/reducer. This metod allows any combo of two (EGT and O2) to be used on either side. It works for me fine. The reading differnace between this poiitn and at the ehxuast port is usueally within ~200dgrees F, which is close enoguh IMO.

Addtionally, you want the CATs removed to weld in the bungs, slag and crap falls into the hole and you want to shake it outta there.

Cool got em in today guys. I couldnt find anything for the ETG so I took a piece of steel and used a holesaw and cut out about a quarter round. I then welded it on the cat and drilled and tapped it. Worked great! Worst part was I had Crawford weld in a bung for the o2 sensor and it was too close to the nut on the cat! It was a ***** to get it on! But shes all good now!
