Someone on motoring has a tt kit on their 05. They are working with Technosquare on the ECU as well (he's just using it for timing though), so '05 ECU's should be available soon.

We have an APS kit on an '05 that has some fuel issues and we are in the process of determining if the issues are the ECU or the fuel system itself.

late 04's and 05's have wideband O2 sensors, and that appears to be causeing limp modes, as the ECU sees the car running much too rich. The ECU doesnt know any better, and thinks something is wrong for a car to be running at 11.5:1. Previous versions had narrow band sensors.

So that applies to all FI application, including the APS TT?

oh I forgot....Aren't those changes just on the Track and Anniversary editions? I thought the ECU stayed the same on the other models?

What do you mean? It applies to the 2004.5+ ECU's...not the turbo kits.

All of the late 04-05 ECU's are ULEV-2 complaint, and come with the wideband O2's, and are very tight ECU. You cant even raise the idle RPM??!!

Peter has posted before that he saw no issues with the 05 ECU during his testing.

Limp mode? I know my Z is an 2004.5 with stock widebands and I ran the stock APS 91 octane map for weeks without a problem. The only time you would be running 11.5:1 AFR is in open loop, the ecu wouldn't care less what the AFR are. Only in closed loop fueling will the ecu perform any type of correction. The 05's shouldn't be that much different than the 4.5 but I won't know for sure until I get one thru the shop.

That's apparently the issue....becuase the ECU now knows its running too rich, especially at part throttle. That's the biggest difference between the 04 and late 04/05 ECU's. In the pre- ULEV2 ECU's the car knows its running rich, but its possible that with the wideband 02, it now knows its running WAY to rich for optimal.

I guess we need a couple of these kits installed on a 05 to really know for sure.

One of the shops in Charlotte had a customer's 05 350Z for a Greddy TT installation, and they even flew Kenji down from Greddy...and couldnt get the car to operate properly.

Somebody hurry up and put an APS kit on an 05...so we can find out if the kit works!

I have talked to Vortech which they said they are developing the new black box to accomodate the new 05' ECU. They said it will take couple months to finish and release the 05' 350Z kits.

I am going to put the APS TT on my 2005 G35 6-speed as soon as it is ready. Tuan I would like your shop to install it. Let me know when the G35 parts will come in so I can get on the schedule.

I have a new 05 anniversary and will be going APS TT once I get it through the breaking period. I am currently having some clutch/transmission issues which will need to be addressed first.

Will keep ya posted.
