Exclamation BOV for a Turbonetics kit....

im confused...i plan on purchasing a BOV in a day or two, i see tons of BOV's on the market, which one would be a good choice...everyone suggests the TURBOXS RFL, GREDDY TYPE S, and some other ones, i forgot....lol, anyways, which one would be better with just a turbonetics kit and no other mods. the kit will be installed right out of the box and wont be set a higher on boost. i want a nice sound, but then again, i dont want any problems of running too rich, if its possible (without problems), i wont mind going up on the boost...im new at this..HELP ME OUT! whats a website i can get it at a good price also? i want opinions. thanks...

The Turbonetics kit comes with a BOV. It is a Turobnetics Raptor BOV and it can be recirc'd if you want...

Did you listen to the video I took of the Turbonetics kit....Their BOV is pretty loud. I would wait and see what you think and then if you dont like it its easy to change later...

I agree. The raptor sounds great.

I may be wrong, but the Greddy type S sounds like a queef.

Get the kit and try it with the Raptor BoV first. At that point, if you don't like it, start looking for a new one.

I'll be sticking with the Raptor, but if I had to buy another I'd personally go with the HKS.

Yes that is a nice BOV but definitely overkill in this application. BTW this is an OLD thread...

HKS SSQV.

Not mainly for the sound, but for the fact that its a "dual stage pull type" valve. It releases both light and heavy loads of presure to prevent any compressor surge whiles holds all the boost.

Any BOV if adjusted right should relieve all pressure low or high... On my Raptor when I even get to 0 PSI (even pressure before the cross into boost) and let off the pedal it still releases the air that was in the pipe that was begging to be compressed.
