Default installing oil temp gauge for TT kit

Anyone done this without drilling an oil plug or pan? Was thinking I could possibiliy use a Greddy Oil Filter Block Adapter. I attempted a search on this, but didn't find anything. Anyone know of an aplication for the Z? If not, what's the easiest and safest way to install the sender unit?

You do know that most FI setups feed oil from a tap that is already in the pan right? There is a sensor on there for your 350z to measure pressure. I don't see why you can't tee off of that to measure the oil temperature.

I thought about that, but wasn't sure if that was doable. A friend of mine had a heck off a time running his gauge of a similar setup on his car. Just no space for him to fit it in (not a Z)

Thanks

I ordered the universal greddy oil adapter. Will post how it worked. Others have used it.

If you have or add TTs they are each fed by a high psi pressure line. You should be able to place a tee , between were the new line taps into the lower block around the oil filter. The turbos also drain back into the oil pan, gravity feed, but I wouldn't put the sensor there.

Default Oil temp gauge - n/a Z - sensor/sender location?

Sorry to bump an ancient thread, but, my searches have come up a bit empty so far. I am a noob to adding gauges.

Looking to install an oil temp gauge in my N/A 06 Z. I'd prefer a drain-plug type adapter to drilling into the pan for the sensor. Are these readily available?

Is this what I'm looking for - (correct size/pitch unknown at the moment)?

to get accurate oil temp readings the sensor needs to be submerged in the oil, not in a passage or adapter.

Run the AAM spacer, it has a place for a temp probe to be threaded in.

- Thanks for the replies and the link. I now have a better idea of what it will take to get this mod done.

Do not get that adapter...........the drain plug and sensor will point downward and if you ever hit anything and that oil temp sensor breaks off ---- there goes all your oil...

use a spacer like they mention.....

OR

Remove your pan (or obtain an extra) and have the oem pan taped and welded with a bung:
