Default Finally got my Turbos in!!

Well guys, the twins are finally in! I just got my Z back the other night from CJ Motorsports. All I can say is WOW! I think I fell in love all over again! The power is just awesome, and smooth across the whole board. There really isnt any lag, and you can definatley feel em boostin. Right now I am running at the stock boost of 5.5, in about a week or so we will turn up the boost. Gotta wait to get the boost controller first. Then we will turn it up to 8-9psi, and hopefully 400-420whp. Right now its making 345whp, nd 336wtq. You can tell when you mash the pedal, theres a hundred more horseys under the hood. I have to thank Charles and his crew, for doing an awesome job. They did a very clean install, and nothing seems wrong or out of place. For all you guys debating about whether to go FI or not, I say do it! I couldnt wipe the smile off my face for a day! Now I cant wait to see what another 70hp will be like! Heres a rundown of what I got:
Greddy TT Kit with FMIC-Manifolds, down pipes, and turbine housings all hot coated.
CJM Fuel System
JWT Clutch and Flywheel
AEM Wideband O2 Gauge
Defi Boost and EGT Gauges
AutoSport Wiring Harness
Test Pipes and Boost controller to come in a week or so.
Here is the dyno chart:

sooooo smooth. Nice work Charles. The test pipes will make a world of difference in the mid range.

I love it.....300ft/lbs at 3000rpm at 5.5psi of boost. WOW! And who ever said the Greddy TT's are efficient at low RPM??

but is there a significant rise in the sound of the cars exhaust does it get obnoxiously louder with test pipes? ( I am talking specifically with turbos not NA!)

We could only pull about 4.5 lbs of boost on the dyno without a boost controller. Charles said theres probably 10 or so more horseys on the street.

that car is pressure tuned as well, already has timing retard and pressure sensor tuning. An E-Manage map I made for a car a few days prior to that happened to work out nearly perfect and tuning was done in only a few pulls.

For those of you that have not driven a turbocharged VQ, I strongly suggest you dont do it.....unless you are ready to spend the money to get one. They are awesome.

turboing my z was the best thing i ever did...building the motor and running more boost, even more fun, it's like a drug...but i have learned how i would do it better second time around...the fuel system is a great safety precaution...enjoy, best of luck to you!
