Yeah it is not a tubular front end. It is just a Rad support. We were planning on using the SSR intake manifold but it turned out to be the biggest piece of junk on the planet.

The only thing the Turbonetics kit has in common with this setup...is a single turbo. 
I have seen this kit in person, and its very impressive. The exhuast housing of the turbo is nearly the size of my head....and that GT42R turbo flows enough air for 1200whp..easily.

I remember seeing it and i was not to impressed with build quality. I think it would not fit with the hood. Greg knows more on the Manny than myself.

I cancelled my GB on the new kinetix manifold - I would have been getting it in a a week or two, but cancelled it for the SSR because it's supposed to be a superior design for FI.
I haven't seen it in person, just multiple pictures of it and it looked fine in the pictures?
it won't fit with the stock hood? WTF were they thinking when designing it? They expect to sell it?

I just looked at the photos on the web site and it looks like it'll clear the hood.

ok, to put the rumors to rest
Just called SSR engineering, the SSR intake manifold DOES CLEAR THE STOCK HOOD. It even lets you use the stock strut bar - look at the pics, the manifold is smaller in every direction compared to the Kinetix SSV manifold
I'll bet money it weighs less than the kinetix SSV
The guy I talked to said it gains mainly mid and high end power - somewhere around 20whp for FI, but it maybe loses a tiny bit of power on the low end (not a suprise though)
On an NA car it loses power
Of course no one has ever seen or posted a dyno with this plenum to be able to compare it in any form to the kinetix SSV
