Question Boost and Tranny

I'll be sending my ECU to TS for a reflash, setting at 8.5psi and installing the CAS wire once the ECU is back.

Now my question is can my auto tranny support this much power ?

Does anyone have this much boost on an 5AT car ?

Thanks !

so, have you rebuilt your motor like your sig suggests?
and you plan on running 8.5 psi max?

well...not really

I just want to see how the tranny holds up to 8.5psi first and go from there.

the boost will always go up

Another problem that we had with our tranny was 6600rpm redline. Tranny didn't have enough time to upshift. TSed ecu seemed to have addressesd that issue, but then again, we installed flashed ecu along with full Level10 tranny.

In general there are quite a few unknowns with our trannies and FI.
We cranked the boost up to 13.5lbs and after about 400miles tranny stopped working properly.

P0744 A/T TCC S/V FNCTN, trying to find a remedy for that right now. Any help is apreciated.

How much power are you running with that tranny ?

I'll be getting the VB upgrade from Stillen and that's it. I hope I wont be ending up getting a new tranny.

We never had a chance to dyno the car with new tranny. At 0.8Bar car was dynoed 298kW ~ 410whp. Greddy TT and 8.5:1CR motor. That was on stock out of the box e-manage tune.

I think that now with TS Greddy tune and 0.92Bar we're somewhere in the 450-460whp range. Couple of days before the tranny died we pulled 5-6 carlengths on C5 vette with basic boltons.

What do you mean when you say full tranny? I have the Level Ten TC and VB upgrades and plan on a TT setup eventually.

Correct, including upgraded frictions and steels.
Sam swore this tranny will hold 600whp daily.

Whatever Sam says, make sure you have it in writing, so you have point of refference if push comes to shove.
