Default It's alive!!!

So after pulling a 12 hr day on monday, 2 1/2 hrs yesterday on a lunch break, and 7am to 1pm today, I got my car running and completed!
I am pleased to say (not bragging, just proud of my accomplishment) that I did 80% of the work myself, pretty much everything except the assembly of the bottom end / checking clearances and so on--figured i better leave that task to the expert engine builder who has donde this hundreds of times before.

I've put 200 miles on the motor today already, I am about to go attempt to add some more coolant in a few minutes (and get all the air out of the system)

I plan to get around 500miles on it by friday..Sharif flies in, and Brody, Sharif, and I will be tuning all day Saturday. Since Sharif and I have basically the identicle setup (I think Sharif just added cams), I want to have some of the best tuners put their heads together for this one...

I will be building another motor soon (probably in the next 2 months)--if anyone is selling a stock motor, please let me know
I plan to have the block sleaved, all the fun headwork/cams, etc, etc....
I want to have a back up just in case...I figure if i build a backup and a year goes by and i want to get rid of it, i'll sell it to someone in need--

moving right along

+1. You've probably had the most problems with a forced induction 350Z ever.
I'm sure the venture into unchartered territory will prove to be worth it though.

Actually, I think Todd earns second place in that area. Lets not forget about Gurgen's ordeal.

Have you found that "backup" motor yet? Any idea what you might have to pay or you are willing to pay?
