1 2 I just talked to Brad again. Thanks for getting that code to me. He said Jhame is working on it. It might be tomorrow before we have a definitive answer though. I apologize I couldn't get more for you but I assure they are working on it. I'll let you know what they come up with...

Actually I drove it around for a little bit b/c the light didnt come on at first, it just felt a little rough. I did it one at a time too but I took off all the wires first and mixed them up putting them back.

On the wires connecting to the coil packs you will see a white paper with the cylinder # on it. They should be in the order starting from the passenger front side: 1 - 3 - 5 then to the driver side front: 2 - 4 - 6. Hope this helps.
Alright, I went out to the car and checked it out......no such luck. The wires are all secure and running to the right coil pack. Thanks though.

I didn't have any problems, put the same plugs in my car. Gapped to .028 I believe...whatever APS recommended. Also just put the plugs in 1 at a time, no particular order.

Well I went to Adavance Auto this morning had the code cleared and so far so good!! I have around 30 miles on it since then with about 4 start ups. So I am not out of the dark just yet but we will see. I wonder if it was the e.c.u. adjusting to 93 octane or something....I don't know. I still want to put the colder plugs in just to be on the safe side but I don't want to run into this problem again.

Default plug gap

I am going through the same thing right now. I have had SES light come on a few times in the last 2 weeks saying random mulitple misfire only under high boost. I was heading home today and I the car started missing 1 cylinder completely. I thought I had lost my motor. I limped her home and just finished doing a compression test and they all seem to be in spec. So now I am hoping it is narrowed to the coil packs or bad gas. I will check my plug connectors like Kyle said and go from there. Still keeping fingers crossed though. Rich

I had the same problem right now. The SES light come on. But after I get the TS ECU reflashed, the light go off, but the misfire problem still there. Anyone know what cause that happened?

Just an FYI, that narrower plug gaps arent needed with our ignition system. With coil over pkug, the Nissan ignition system is as good as it gets.

I've seen 580ft/lbs of trq on a load based dyno, without any hint of spark blow out. I recommend running the factory gaps now.

You mean running the NGK factory gaps or Nissan factory gaps?

Thanks

Well I swaped my coils around and found that 1 of my coils is burnt out. 1 down and 1 to go. I still do not have an answer for the random multiple misfire though.

The NKG's, coincidentialy, are set at VQ35 factory gaps. .040-.044 so they are ready to use out of the box. I always double check them for consistency before installing them, however.

I thought we need to gap the plugs around .030 for FI engine for more burn efficiency when in boost. I had installed the plug at the gap at .040 - .044 once, it still missing fire, but that was before the TS reflash. Right now, the SES light is off, but still miss fire.
