Red my tune before Intake.
Green my dyno after install.
Blue my attempt to tune car with intake. Car was way to rich could not get rid of enough fuel with the R4.

Thoughts?

Seems like the car should be lean if it was getting more air not rich, right?

After driving the car this weekend I could tell I lost some power. Car did not have the same response. The Red and Green show why I felt that way. My tuner Ed from Balanced Performance said that he was setting the values for the R4 in the 9s and he has not done that before when he was trying to readjust the A/F (blue run).

my thought is the manifold isn't all it claims to be. If it was flowing so much better, you would most likely have a lean condition, which isn't the case. Your peak HP #s are higher, but with a S/C setup, your peak HP, is mostly an anomaly. You only hit it for a mere fraction of a second at redline. The curve looks to be much worse as it seems the manifold made you loose some serious HP around 5700 rpms. With your A/F better (your blue run) you still lost HP.

I am dissapointed - hope you can tune it to get your power back. On the other hand, it looks cool

Looks like it doesnt flow as much air . Second dyno that shows a richer A/F with the IM . I was wrong , thought for sure it would have more flow .

Ed said that after reviewing the green run that he felt that the best he would be able to do is get the car back to around what I already had.

He shouldnt have ant problem getting the A/F back to where it was . What are the numbers in the R4 where you get really rich ?

Another rich/power losing dyno...

I agree, if it worked better than your previous IM you should be lean with the same tune unless there's something I'm missing. So far I'm glad I didn't by this thing b/c it looked cool.

BTW Lemans350Z, your whole engine bay looks really nice!

If you can't get it back to tune, I'd say IM runners are too short.

my only guess here, this plenum actually flows less than the stock one, that is why its too rich.

Wow, I was expecting a small increase in power but a lose is a shock, you got more power with your stock setup than you did with the IM.

Steve already has the SSV installed, so no dyno #'s with his stock intake manifold.

He does have it installed already but I think sentry was just asking for dyno numbers with the IM...I think.
