Greddy TT...A Few Questions
My Greddy TT install will be finished tomorrow. However, I don't have the
E-01 yet to tune and address the timing. Will the car be okay to drive for a week until I get the E-01? The reason I ask is because I've read that someone in the past blew their engine on their first run right out the shop because they didn't have the ignition harness.
Another question is, what are your opinion towards turbo timers? Yes or No?

Turbo Timer is not needed, but nice to have.
If you are going to be driving hard and not be able to hang around the car while it cools down then you need a timer.
You will be fine without the e01, I would at least install a boost gauge even if it is temporary until the e01 goes on because most of the failures are probably due to boost spikes due to install issues and bad wastegate hook ups, at the very least see if the shop can hook one up while you test drive it.

Should I be worried about driving the car without addressing timing or A/F tuning? I would have to wait a week until the E-01 comes in. I know that boost spikes and not addressing timing is one of the main reasons for engine failures. Westpak, Boost, EGT, & AEM Uego gauges will be installed before it leaves the shop.
If it's okay to drive the car without retarding the timing, is there something I should not do, eg:WOT?
Another question, should I wait till I get a return system to install the Walbro fuel pump or is it okay to install it first?

Welcome to the F/I world!
Yes, you should be worried with an out of the box Greddy kit. Driving it fine...boosting it is not. So just cruise around and stay out of the boost...it will creep up on you fast.Get the timing harness, get the fuel system, and most importantly, get that thing tuned before you beat on it. The Greddy "tuner" kit has destroyed many motors in stock trim, so dont take these precautions lightly.

Hope that helps, and feel free to contact me if you need more advise.
Sharif, so you are basically saying I will be fine as long as I don't boost at all or don't boost as high? If your saying to not boost at all, then I think I should just leave the car in the shop. There is no way I will be able to stop myself from hitting that throttle
-The ignition harness+diodes and CAS wire is installed already.
-The Profec E-01, Ext. signal harness, pressure sensor harness are on order and should be here by next week.

I don't mind taking another week of public transportation if it is even a little bit unsafe without addressing the timing.
What would you guys do?
I ran my car about a week without the e-01. It ran perfectly fine, but I didn't go into boost at all. I think you will be fine, but then there's always that small chacne... but that might just be me since I always want to be safer than safe. If you don't mind taking the transit for another week then I'd say just do that and then when you get your car you will be completely finished and won't have to go back to the shop or anything.
To answer your other two questions, you can install the Walbro fuel pump without getting the entire return fuel system, and the turbo timer is a good thing to have... I am installing both of those things this week.

man don't take the chance! i wouldn't want to hear of you describing how you blew your motor and who and where can you get parts to rebuild. just take the transit until it's done because if you blow, you'll be taking transit for longer than one week.
I just a few questions about the greddy tt kit as well. i talk to Kyle and several of his techs all the time from SGP racing here in houston. I was told that the kit is pretty good right out of the box. They told me that they would recommend certain items with the kit. like boost gauge, BOV, exhaust, and fuel pump. i asked them about tuning and stuff. they told me they do all the tuning and everything to insure safety of ur vehicle. pretty much all they do is Z's. they have like 17-19
Z in the shop right now. as from ur experience what do u think? is it necessary to change the fuels system and etc? i understand if u going higher boost and power, but hey?
