You mean ignition advance? The blue didn't have a rev-limit change map as far as I've seen(ie internet). The GOLD version had one, but I don't know anyone that's converted a blue-to-gold on a VQ.

Also, from the trouble I've heard from others trying to connect AEMs EMS and Perfect Powers SMT6s with Nissan crank/cam position sensors, I'm doubtful but hopeful the ignition advance features can work on VQs.

When you called Greddy, what did you ask them specifically? I know it's going to be universal like the blue so some features will work, however I'm wondering why it's not listed in the application list here: http://www.geocities.jp/bigsinglewor....htm#emunissan

Anyways, I don't want to waste your time, just anxious with a zillion questions.

Make sure you post up the manuals ASAP, if digital, so we can see more into the capabilites of this bad boy.

Thanks,
Alex

Sharif, and if you haven't bought any other harnesses for the blue emanage (that is included in the GReddy TT kit), what do you need if you are switching to the ultimate emanage?
In your case Brandon, you car has the eManage installed, but possibly without a timing harness or pressure sensor harness...I gather. In that case, you will need to buy the eManage timing harness, and a pressure sensor harness, in addition to the EU and the Supplemental harness.

Is there an on/off provision or capability with the piggyback for nitrous applications? Seems like an ideal tool for a dry system if it can be turned on or off or even change programs with system activation? Thanks
There is a toggle switch that can remotely activates. So you can have one map that is essentially blank, and then toggle to an enriched map for your nitrous application.

I asked Greddy if the EU was compatible with the 350z, and they confirmed it for me. I am going to make this a risk free proposition for everyone involved, as I will personally complete the install, testing, and tuning, and can clearly articulate the features that work on the 350Z, and those that don't.

I am not promising you that every single feature will work on the VQ motor, but even things like add/reduce IPW, and individual cylinder trim are pretty worth while....along with A/F target tuning. There is no reason these particular features wouldnt work on the VQ motor. Timing advance is questionable, but I hope it works. Since 95% of the time, we are trying to retard timing, its not a huge issue if the EU can't advance on our motors.

Thanks for the questions and feedback.

Timing advance would be really nice for us NA guys though so hopefully it works or this may not be as good of a solution without both a TS reflash for timing and the Emanage for fuel.

Really good point, that I am sorry I overlooked. Most piggybacks that take crank angle sensor inputs can advance timing. I just hope it cooperates with the VQ ECU.

Sharif,
Just a note. I'm getting this on the condition that it can advance timing on the VQ. Its the #1 feature I'm looking for.

From what I understand it doesn't... or at least it has very minimal if you buy the profec. Nothing that can be exported.

I ended up buying the Innovate Motorsports LM-1 and LM-3 data logger kit, from Sharif, just for that purpose. Hopefully the 2 together can provide all the data logging and tuning control needed.

Not a problem....I hope it advances timing too. There is only one way to find out....via testing.

Any datalogging features on this?
Based on the screenshots, it looks like them improved the very limited datalogging of the eManage blue. It's still going to be a bit crude, but at least some basic datalogging will be available through the eManage ultimate.

My hope, for instance, is that the eManage Ultimate can actually determine actual timing...and then plot it out across a map, as an example.

Thanks for the responses Tony and Sharif.

What datalogger would you recommend Sharif? I did some searching and found the Zeitronix, TurboXS DTEC (not really what I want though, don't you have to have a nintendo gameboy advance?), and Innovate Motorsports LM-1 and LMA3. So which out of those? The Zeitronix sounds nice, can datalog 9 hours straight, datalogs rpm, throttle position, a/f, egt, and boost. (plus the small LCD display)

Zeitronix can also do EGT's . Thier sensors seem very accurate . That PLX R-500 Does look really nice

can these be used instead of the usual gauges?

I see that the Innovate Motorsports LM1 + LMA3 can be used with the engine management, can the others? I did some comparing and the PLX R-500 seems like the best, from what all you can datalog, though I didn't see it list if you could use it with engine management.

The one I really like, and Gurgen can vouch for it, as the LM-1 coupled with the Aux box. This is the setup a sold to Hydrozine.

The software and mapping is unbelieably robust, and the Aux box has quite a few internals sensor, including a MAP sensor, EGT, etc....

Here is the link: http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/x...cat=250&page=1

The LM-1 plus AUX box retail for $599, and the selling price si $560 shipped. Nobody ever discounts Innovate products, but we still offer a small discount, and free shipping.

Thanks Sharif. I think i'll be going with the eManage Ultimate + LM1 and LMA3 then. What all will the LM1 display (just a/f?)?
