I've also decided that I'd go ahead and upgrade the fuel system this time around, instead of putting it off. WTH, you only live once. I'm just waiting for either Phunk or Sharif to call me back. First one who calls me back and has one in stock, gets the sale!!
I can see them reaching for the phone as they read this thread....

Default Check this **** out....this project has driven me to drinkin....

Okay, my hot parts went out to Jet Hot about a week before Katrina hit; they're in Mississippi, on the coast. Well, that place has no power now, so they ship all of the parts to their facility in AZ. Guess what? That place doesn't do the 2000 degree coating....lucky me. Of course I didn't find that out until 5 or 6 days AFTER they told me they were shipping everything to the other plant. Now it's going to be at least two weeks before my parts ship back to GRD. Everything is done, we're just waiting on the parts to be coated. SO, I call Isrhad to tell him what's up and to see if we can use their local coating place, and while I actually have him on the phone (very rare occasion) I just happen to ask if they recieved my clutch when SGP shipped my motor back. "Hold on, let me check"...."No, there's no clutch, and the motor isn't even attatched to the pallet.." I'm like, "WTF!!", so I call SGP immediatly and demand to talk to someone. Matt picks up the phone, I tell him the story about the packing and absence of one $2000 clutch, and he says that they packed everything up tight; it must have been stolen, and GRD must contact their shipping co (whom we used because it was cheaper than using SGP's shipper....) and report it stolen. Now I have to wait on GRD to contact their shipper, and work something out, which will take forever. To make things worse, SGP doesn't even have another ATS clutch in stock. Everything has gone so smooth up to this point, and then BOOM, it's a major cluster****. I'm so pissed off right now that I had to have a couple of drinks to cool me down. I'm just hoping that GRD's shipping co. took note of that clutch when he took delivery, otherwise, I've got a major problem on my hands. FFFUUUUCCCKKKKKK!!!!!!!

So, appearently, my fully built longblock was tumbling around in the back of some shipping truck. Why the hell SGP didn't fully crate that motor up is beyond me. Hopefully the front timing cover isn't messed up, or the rear seal. Or the plastic valve covers. I guess we'll know when we put oil in it and start it up!!!!!!

Dude, I'm speechless. I know firsthand the agony that accompanies a rebuild, but they LOST YOUR CLUTCH?! Yikes!

It could actually turn out to be a good thing. Once the claim goes through I'm probably going to upgrade to the triple disc ATS.

UPS claims are great... I recently did one and they cut a check immediatly... Probably a 2 week process at most.

I'm pretty mad at SGP for this. The clutch should have either been bolted on the motor, or shipped seperately. If it was packaged correctly, none of this would be happening. My question is this: is there any way I can get screwed out of a clutch? ie, nobody taking responsibility?

Take responsibility! I'm sure somebody goofed, but that sounds like money... Can't have that!

Default update:

Things are starting to look up again. Jet Hot FINALLY shipped my parts back, and should be delivered by this thursday at the latest. I got ahold of some 12lb actuators to use instead of the 10lb ones. I bought a 3" SS exhaust from SFR, and they're using my HKS SS Ti mufflers that I already had, and that should be at GRD ready for install by the end of next week. Tuan is shipping my ECU back to be set up for the 650cc injectors I'm using. Tuan also sent out my turbos to be disassmbled and checked over, and those are on their way back now. So hopefully, only a couple more weeks till I can pick this bad boy up!

Future plans include:
APS 3.5" testpipes
Different engine management. UTEC or FCON (if I can afford it )
650whp goal
