its called experience. id rather bring it to someone who has done over 30 vq's than to a shop that has done say 5. nothing special that i know of about the motor itself. experience usually = better quality of work

still speculation...even some theory that the clearances that arias calls for are too tight...

who knows>?

OK. Good luck on your builds. Unsubscribing.

wow well then i guess my 350z is going to SGP! thanx guys for all the info. you guys have been really helpful. to the guys that say what's so special about the z. dude it's style. i can afford a cobra or even a vette but the z is just my style. i've been dragging in my friend cobra but i'd be way happier to drag in my z. i might as well send my entire car then. now i want my z to be kind of my every other day kinda ride/dragster, will that matter in the build up? and will SGP install my TT as well?

.003 is very common for forged pistons. High Silicon expands much less than low or zero silicon. If you check with JE, CP, and other manufacturers clearances, they are all very close to this level. They run slightly larger clearances, becuase they use a different material.

With the Arias extreme duty, we run .004 piston to wall clearance, to account for the greater expansion of zero silicon AL.

OEM cast pistons are set at .001 clearance!

500rwhp can be had for about $6k. (built motor (parts assembled and shipped), not turbo install)

A 500whp TT Vq35 will beat a Cobra at 500whp all day long(traction being equal). Gotta love the torque of the V6 TT. Torque wins races, HP wins internet arguments.
