Vortech.

Honestly, you should go single turbo though.

ask zachrosen about his experience.
i'm not saying its not a great kit--400hp from a sc is great; i'm just voicing my opinion based on the many threads i've read.

All the kits can be reliable with good tuning. I am sure if you have problems with any of them the manufacters with warrant their product. I would look into a single turbo instead of supercharger, unless you just have your heart set on a supercharger.

He said he was selling his greddy cause it is not legal in CA. Single turbos will never be CARB certified because theyas mess the factory cats.

If he is not impress with the power the Stillen kits puts out for the money, what would impress him about the HKS?

You ned to put more variables in the equation.. Power (Tq/Hp) and where you want it, completeness, tunability, loudness, maintainability, etc.. .

I like the ATI Kit Check my sig for details..
Its not the cheapest solution out there, but less than HKS and a bit more than Vortec.

No belt slipping problems ever, seperate oiling system too
About $300 more than Vortech plus you need to buy a timin box sperate like a split second, a emanage, or a J&S.

It is not quiet thos, so if you want stealth look at a turbo set-up ( then again on hiway is very unobstrusive, but when you pull into a lot PPL will know youn are SC'ed..)

Ive seen threads about problems with all the SC kits . You need to research all the kits and decide on one of them . They ALL will have little problems to get over .Just as all the turbo kits will have small problems to get thru .

The Vortech belt problem really isnt a problem . People dont really know how tight that belt needs to be , so it doesnt slip . The stock belt that come with the kit stretches very easily . Replace with a Gates belt...not a problem
The ATI...needs a timing solution
Stillen....not much power for the high cost..ugly hood [ IMO ] not sure on how its tuned , if it can be tuned
HKS...Can only be tuned by certified dealer...not many around
There are probably more Vortech SC on 350Z and G35's than all the rest put together [guessing ] at least on this site it seems there are .

not really an issue: you just buy one.
This adds to making teh ATI effectively more expensive by whatever the cost of your timing solution is but everyone understands this..

I used J&S otehr use emanage, SS box etc etc

If I got an SC, it would be the ATI Procharger, now I dont care if people here me when I roll up into a Parking lot, I will enjoy blowing off infront of people, havent been able to enjoy the sensation of turbos since my 95VR4. Is it loud at idle? I saw this video of a vortech SC at idle, and it sounded like a rusty door, sounded damn good when it was spooling and blowing off though, the procharger isnt rusty and clanky sounding at idle is it? Anyone got a vid, or can make a short one of idle? That would be sweet!!

Hey did anyone buy those DVD's from the ultimate street car challenge? I would like to see that Yellow Z that was Procharged in action.....anyone know if you can still get those? Peace!

Itys loud enough that when the hood open and you are standing in front of it it will bother you if you are having a conversation.. Its quite enough that on the highway your enighboring car wont notice it.

I noticed with ym 7 psi pulley the mechanical gear noise was stronger now with a 9 psi pulley it sounds more blower-like..
