what do u think?
what do u think?
91 octane sucks but we want people to be safe so we tune our cars on it.If you can afford to run higher octane fuel then do it.

Yes you will be safe.As far as making power with the VQ........We want people to be safe so we will reccomend running at 420 or less WHP on a stock motor. However we will have the program for 475-500WHP on a stock motor but you have to go to those levels at your own risk.

A built motor will allow you to run safely at much higher horspower levels then 500.However, there is a possibility that you could do this on a stock motor with a good tune as long as you dont make huge amounts of torque. This is what we are planning on doing with the SFR Fearlady Z at the moment. Then we will see how long it lasts.

Dynoed the car today

Just got back from the dyno.At 7.8 psi the car made 425.2 and 446ft/lbs at the wheels. At 8.5 psi we saw 438.5 and 449 ft/lbs of torque at the wheels. This was on 91 octane with an ambient temp of about 95F.These runs were made on a Dyno Dynamics dyno with a 1.002 correction factor.I was a little afraid to run 10 psi on 91 octane on such a hot day so I might make some more runs later at 10 psi or so and see what it does.Keep in mind this is a completely stock car with stock heads,cams,exhaust,plenum,etc.......

4100 rpms is when full boost hits on non ball-bearing turbos.I will post the dyno charts up tonight.

So I got back to the shop and we decided to build a dual 3" exhaust set-up for the car so I will have to dyno the car again with the new exhaust. We will have the new exhaust today and I will show up at the meet with it installed tomorrow. The only downside is the HKS Carbon Titanuim mufflers that I want to use are backordered so the exhaust that we are building today will not have any mufflers

So the dual 3" exhaust with no muffler is on.It is loud and obnoxious.I have to get some mufflers on the car or I will be getting tons of tickets So I drove up to the meet today in Laguna Niguel and on the way home there was a 3000GT VR4 revving on me.He had something under the hood and I am always up for a race so I downshifted from 6th and tried to get to fourth but hit second Seen 8000+ rpms and got off it real quick. So far it doesnt seem like anythng happened because I got on it after I checked it out and the car is still very fast.No funny noises or puddles of coolant/oil or anything like that. But it was fricken scary.I cant beleive there is no lockout on these trannies.Ridiculous.
For those that are waiting on the dynos, I will get them loaded up later tonight.I have two graphs. One with horsepower and torque and one with boost and horsepower.
