Just upgrade to a lightning maf. very easy to tune using the emanage.

In order to prevent the limp mode you need to keep the MAF voltage to the ECU below 4.88v until you reach 5000rpm. After 5000rpm you can let it max out (5.15v). You can use a voltage clamp as a cheap fix. However if you use that the ECU will never see the full 5v, even after 5000rpm. I am using my emanage boost cut feature to keep the MAF voltage below 4.88V until after 5000rpm. It acts as an adjustable electronic voltage clamp.

Most emanage use don't see this problem because the injector scaling keeps the voltage below the limit. I'm using a full TS reflash for fuel and timing. The only function the emanage is performing is the boost cut function.

Can the emanage scale the lighting MAF? Which setting? What are the flow limits of that unit? I haven't heard that one anywhere before.

You can max out the MAF on stock internals? That sucks...

Here you go. I think we would need the fitting to go to the larger maf housing. Can be done. http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/wol...WIRINGINST.PDF
I totally forgot about the boost limiter setting. That's what I'm going to do tomorrow. Thanks for the help.

the MAF maxes out at like 375rwhp from what I remember... this is why the MAP sensor is needed for tuning.

Any info on how exactly to do the voltage clamp? because Iam not using the e-manage yet, and it's getting annoyng.

All that is, is the wiring. The wiring is the easy part. You would have to figure out which, if any of the MAF options in the emanage will work. The stock lighting MAF is good until 450 rwhp. It would be a perfect fit for a stock bottom end VQ35DE with FI. Do you know which MAF selection allows the use of the lighting MAF?

Split second sells a voltage clamp. Here is a link to thier site:
http://www.splitsec.com/

There are several other companys that sell them. If you want you can build one pretty easy.

Since you are running the emanage this won't be a problem. Use the boost cut option which like was said before limits the output maf voltage. There are many people over 450whp using the same system you are going to be using. The lightning maf is the same exact type of maf that is why so many nissan's use it. In our case it is not that necessary unless you don't want to use something like an emanage but that would require installing the maf and having your flash specifically tuned for your car. IMHO it's not worth it. I was just throwing it out there as an option.
