If you want realiable turn key out of the box kit then APS TT is the best option, but if you are going to build your motor, at this point in time the APS is not ideal IMO. When APS come out with the upgraded fuel system maybe I will feel different, but I have a feeling you will have to buy the basic kit for $7500 and then buy the upgraded fuel system. They should give you the option of buying the APS Kit without the basic fuel system and then adding the upgraded fuel system for an additional price. If they make you buy both that just sucks and is greedy IMO. Just my opinion so please don't kill me.

people say the VG30's rods are very similar to the VQ35's rods so they must be decently strong as long as there's absolutely no detonation. But who knows, so far that's always the thing to go
Lots of knowledgable people had "perfect" tunes with FI and still blew up their engine
but anyway, congrats on the huge power

just read on the other site that the reason lots of APS guys are having problems getting to 500whp on built motor is because of their test pipe and exhaust. Seems like you must use APS test pipes and exhaust. If you go APS don't mix match parts! GO APS or go home.

For APS to make wild claims of 500 rwhp which they made again in this thread is my issue. "About 1 hours work on the dyno and you can have up to 500 WHP, all up about 2 1/2 hours work by a competent dyno shop like GRD." It can't be done without replacement of key components in the APS kit. If it could be done I would have it. Both Charles and Tuan could attest to this.
As you can probably tell that my disappointment with APS is high. APS makes wild claims about HP and their being the best. Having the best kit is entirely about results. And the results prove that a Greddy kit can achieve more power at substantially less cost WITHOUT the need to replace any of the supplied parts.
Not only do you pay more for the APS kit to begin with you are forced down the road to pay APS again for replacement parts to get equal power that can be obtained from the stock Greddy parts.
I am speaking from experience having been down the long road with an APS system under my hood.
I think people considering FI for their cars need to be aware of the APS downfalls and weigh them into there purchasing decision. Yammy2 isn't the only person with issues.
Is the car a blast to drive at 438rwhp? Oh yeah. Is it worth the money over what I would have spent on a Greddy kit for the same power? Hell no.

Here another post from the same guy.

Also I have no doubt the APS TT kit is good for 600+whp, I was just stating that for what ever reason (exhaust, test pipes, other unknowns) some people are having problems reaching their power goals.
From reading, its not possible to get to 12psi with APS TT kit on stock Z/G, unless you have NO back pressure restrictions. Seems you need to have an APS exhaust or custom exhaust with 2.5-3" piping, test pipes, to get past 9 psi. Guys with APS getting past 450+rwhp, most have aftermarket cams, aps exhaust, test pipes, some have plenums.

Im assuming your aps test pipes and aps plenum was installed for you to get 450rwp at 10psi. Just an APS TT kit and regular 2 1/4" exhaust will not get you 450rwp, its too restrictive. Past several months, Ive called several APS dealers, regarding dyno#'s on STOCK Z or G, most are getting around 370-380rwhp at stock 8.5psi. Thats when they start recommending customers to get an APS exhaust and or test pipes in order to get higher HP#'s.
