Default The new APS 3" TD exhaust.

"remove "-" to view

The G has straight tips , the Z has tips angled outwards.

Opinions please.

Not the first , but the first I know of offering both a 3.5 inch test pipes and an extra in-line resonator to improve the sound. Do you like this straight tip arrangement or the "Ingen-like" angled outward look?

Hi guys,

I have been searching through some pictures from the U.S. and was wondering if you could enlighten me a bit more on mufflers. It seems here in Australia, the cannon style muffler on an angle is a big craze amongst modified vehicles, similar to that in Japan. But i can't seem to find much on this in the U.S. is it not such a big thing over there, or has no one made anything as such yet to suit the 350z/G35 model cars? Just curious as to the differences in preference from around the world

Another canted tip alternative:

IMO this look appeals to more Z owners than G owners.
Note Z-boy called it "agro" style.

This exhaust is one of my options come winter.

Does anyone have any news if Greddy will be releasing a turbo exhaust for our cars any time soon ?

It's all a matter of opinion and taste James... I myself like single angled exhausts... Dual it just doesn't look right.

Most every STI out here has an angeled HKS carbon/ti muffler...and alot of hondas have a custom job.

I myself have a custom job on my APS TT g35.

I was the first person to do this to a G35, got the idea from a 350Z owner back in 2003. I get alot of compliments and a few people have copied the design, some people hate it some love it.

A single canted pipe looks fine IMO also. I've seen many a Supra with this arrangement. I just don't think dual canted tips look right. If you stay with your custom single outlet, you really should consider filling in the passenger side notch. It just looks a little un-finshed.

Quick question, probably wrong on this one, but....Shouldn't their be some kind of X-Pipe are place in the exhaust where there is common space between cylinder banks, so that it doesn't sound like two battling 3-cylinders and sounds more like a 6-cylinder.

It makes sense in my head, but not sure if it actually makes any difference at all.

NA or SC yes, but with twin Turbos inline, the cylinder pulse waves are so sliced-n-diced, a cross over doesn't really improve sound or flow.

Personally I really like the dual can design, better than the dual just tip design like stock/nismo, etc. I like mine alot, but I am kinda wishing I had true dual instead.

Alright thanks. I knew I wasn't crazy thinking this, but that does make more sense.

Single exhaust on a car with two cutouts that came with dual... makes no sense to me.

But it's not a true dual system. To make it look more stock, the bumper should be filled like said earlier.
