Default Fuel pump noise! need help!!!

Hi guys
I just starting to have this noise in the fuel pump when I have like 1 bar of gas left in the tank. The fuel pump is modified like the instructions of the T-netics installation. I did a search but can't find the answer for it. Any help would be great. TIA.

The Walbro 255 is a lot louder than stock. Do you hear a whirring/gurgling or is it something different than that?

The noise is like when you drink out of a straw and there is a little water left in the cup with ice in it

I have alot of noise in mine. It only comes on when my tank is less than 1/4 full. It sounds kinda like dull rattling. This forum told me to check the installation again to make sure the pump isn't moving around. I haven't got around to it, so I just keep the tank full.

Fuel cell foam in the tank may help.

Any and all modifications to this vehicle make it louder than stock.

Take your pick.........Mods or no mods.

Mine made noise as well, but def. not the saw sucking noise you are talking about, just more of a whine you would hear out of a big external pump (of course not near as loud though).

If the fuel pump noise bothers you, don't get a JWT flywheel. Thats all I really have to say, haha

If the Walbro is attached with the rubber grommet in place, you should not hear any rattling or excessive noise. The pump, when properly installed, is just a little louder than stock.

Several folks have mentioned not to let the car get below a 1/4 tank with this pump and the regulator mod in place. I have taken right turns while at about 1/8th tank, and have gotten a sag like it was picking up air. There needs to be enough fuel in there to keep that swirl-pot from emptying, if I'm remembering the diagrams of the fuel pump assembly correctly.

If I let the fuel go down to about 1/8, my car just dies.

It happened ones and it was embarassing ...middle of a busy street, had to go and get gas.

i left my stock pump untouched and added an inline walbro 255. there is a plastic cover underneath the car that it perfectly conceals under and is protected, plus runs the fuel lines up the trans tunnel completely away from the exhaust. if the motor is not running and i hit the ignition, it sounds like it would shoot fuel to the moon!! but with motor running it gets drowned out.

I take my car down under 1/4 tank all the time. The other week I had it down to "--" on the digital fuel gauge and had no issues. I don't notice any louder noise cause my exhaust/etc. Sorry but I don't have any further ideas on what might be causing that noise.

The Walbro is quite a bit noisier when running low just like everyone else said. This is the second car I've driven with a Walbro 255 lph pump and the both sounded the same....louder then stock especially when low on fuel...as a matter of habit I fill up every time I hit the last line before empty//...

How many gallons did it take to fill it up totally. The gas guage is just reading the two floats and if the passenger side one is moved or bent because of the new fuel pump it will not read as accurate as stock.
