Engine oil temps and turbocharger oil temps are extremely close. The disadvantage the turbos have is less flow passing by at high load and low to mid rpm's. Turbochargers do not require "special oil". As long as the car is properly cooled down the engine oil will act as usual. Dyno oil would have a hard time but synthetics are more than adequate. Diesel trucks have been using turbochargers for quite a while and their formulations of dyno oil is more resistant to foaming and oxidation just like our synthetics. No need to sound the alarm. The fact of the matter is that it's all a shot in the dark unless you get your oil tested.

I went to a place called CarQuest and found some Amsoil 10w30 last week. Looks like some good stuff. Gonna change it tomorrow.

AMSOil still hasn't shipped my order

I went driving from shop to shop out here on Monday to find either Royal Purple 10W40 or Mobil1 or AMSoil....the only synthetic 10W40 I was able to find was Castrol Synthec, since I have to get that done by Saturday (I won't have a minute for a few weeks after that and I drive a lot) I guess it'll be Castrol synthec for this round...
