Default goodbye f I

Well I'm trying to make a decision and need some advice. I have a 03 cs z with greddy tt, cj motorsports fuel system, volk 19s, a killer stereo and some other mods. Here's my question I am looking into selling the car but am not sure if I should sell it as is or part it out. I was hoping some of the few who have done this might see it in this section because I doubt they look in the market section. Any advise? Also I'm selling cause I'm looking for a new project. I was also curious what you thought its worth. 03 25k miles plus sig and a full $8k stereo setup done by tweeter. Thanks in advance.. James

I don't really know what you should do, sometimes parting it out gets you more money but isn't really worth the hassle of uninstalling everything.

BUT.... If you do part it out, I am very interested in your CJM Fuel System. Planning on buy one soon anyway, but if I could get yours that would be awesome.

Best of luck to ya

I would uninstall the kit. It will sell faster, atleast get you the same money and you can sell the setup or install it on your next project nissan/infiniti. You are staying in the family right? Right?? J/K. Frankly, modded cars are more difficult to sell and narrows the possible buyers. Back to stock and ebay the rest.

Sorry to see ya go James! Come out to one more meet before you get rid of the Z. But a plus for me is one less Silver Twin Turbo Z around these parts!

Well I guess the majority of people think I should part it out so here is my next question what do you think would be fair pricing on the parts. I would be paying around 2k just for removal.

When I was debating the same thing, I made a list of all the mods, what they cost, and what I thought I could get for them (about 1/2 of list price). Then I used kbb and edmunds to determine what my car was worth stock.
2003 Track model.
I came up with a tradein of 20000
and about 6000 if I sold the major parts myself.

With a lot of negotiation, I wound up getting 26000 for the tradein, and I didn't have to hassle with anything. I notice you are Chicago, in Autoweek's classifieds, Muller Honda always has some interesting cars for sale, so they might be a good place to start, as they will know what they would be getting, and probably have some interesting used cars there for you too, if you chose to go that route. Just glancing through the latest issue, I see ads by them for STIs, 400SEL and C5 vert.

well I was thinking of selling all the parts kinda like a package. How does this sound.

Greddy Twin turbo kit with Intercooler
Greddy Profec e-01
Greddy map and timing harness
Cjm Fuel system complete with rails pump fuel pressure regulator and gauge and all the fuel lines.
retail price around $8000.00
your price $6300.00

Rims Volk 19x9.5 fronts and 19x10.5 rears wrapped in s03 rubber.
desperate need of new rear tires fronts have about 85% left
curb rash on 2 rims
brand new price $4000.00
your price $ 2500.00
i figure new tires is 500.00 and for the 1000 you save you can have em looking brand new and probably powercoated any color you want. They are currently mercury silver.

stereo is another story when i have pics ill figure that one out. Let me know what u think of the pricing. Thanks James

Smile Another Way to Go - Talk to Charles

Perhap's Charles know's of someone that want's a complete FI 350Z?

Let him sell it on consignment... ( I don't know - just guessing.. I don't know what the Chicago market is like.. ) It's just seems like a shame to spend $2000 to put the car back to stock. When someone want's a Hot-Rod 350Z

Cheers Amy -

amy that is what i was thinking why spend 2k to pull it out so someone else could pay 2k to put it in. But I starting to think that the market for this kind of car is a very specialized market with a very particular buyer. I fear that there arent to many of them around these parts. But who knows maybe one of em is reading this right now.. heheh
