i am actually just getting ready to do the methanol/water injection myself. just use it as a slight buffer to further fight off detonation.

Thats another reason why I did it.... I could make more hp but the timing is turned back....I am on a stock block and this is my daily driver....so I'm very happy with the hp/tq and the reliabilty....

Nice numbers!

I have an Aquamist 1S system. It is installed, but I haven't actually started using it. I have one a vacuum line disconnected so it don't turn on. I haven't hooked it up cause WI will usually result in a little loss of power unless you tune more agressively. I will probably turn up the boost later and then turn on the system. For now 543whp is good enough!

12.5psi. I think I may have lost a few ponies, cause when the car was dyno tuned the exhaust I had was too restrictive so they disconnected it from the test pipes. The car was tuned to the mid 11's @ WOT after 3500 rpms without exhaust, but now with my true dual 3" exhaust I am in the mid 10's. I guess 3" true dual is still no comparison to no exhaust as far as free flowing. Unfortunatley I drove the car 700 miles to get it tuned on a dyno dynamics and I was not able to get the custom exhaust done until I came back home. I still have a big smile on my face especially when I roast the tires in 4th on the freeway.

How much does something like this cost? What are the benefits other than HP and detonation if any? How does it work and how is it hooked up? Sorry for the noob questions, but this is something new I am not familiar with. Please ONLY respond to me if you are going to provide insight into my questions!

it mists in water or water/methenol. water/methenol is better for the fact or winter driving the methenol will help keep the water from freezing better plus the methenol acts as a fuel itself. it is designed to cool the incoming charge and help cool combustion via the steam it creates. so in other words you don't have to run as rich or pull as much timing to get away from detonation, thus more power. i have seen some tests with it and it can get pretty remarkable gains for the cost of the system. really simple to install and could set you back $300-$1000 depending on pump size and methods of activation. simple idea that works good.

Right On Bigbri!! Dude my car is there getting modded and it was getting worked on right next to yours today. Your Z is Awesome!! The exhaust is Awesome. I rode in it with Ted a few weeks ago and it sounds badass!! See you at the T/I thing. I'll be joining your caravan as you pass through Livermore.

Oh and when are you picking it up on Friday? Mine will be ready to pick up too.

Thanks for the help. Is this something you do primarily for more power or for safety? Who sells some kits?

You would be the second, I've been running water/methanol on my APS TT since may, I've yet to get it tuned though. Do you have pictures of where they mounted yours? Since I have a G35 it was a little difficult.

you could activate it using any of those but the best way is to base it on boost level. a cool way to go is a progressive controller that will mist more water as your boost goes up.
i am planning on using the system to see if some race gas and w/m injection can crest the 700whp range. who knows but would be cool if it did.

It looked like a fuel cell to me when i saw it today. But the assembly it is not a kit, it is custom.
