Default 462whp 445wtrq 9.5psi Stock Motor Dynojet dyno inside

Thank you Rob & Vince @ ZcarGarage

Lately I've noticed my car was making more power and I told Rob. Rob checked it out and said yeah its making more...so he decided to take my car to the dyno while he was tuning other APS cars.

First off the A/F guage on the Dyno chart is lil off. Just wanted to clarify, its similar but a lil off. They increased boost pressure approx. 1- .5 to an even 9.5 all the way out. When they brought the car to the dyno they did a base line of 488 which they felt was odd. So they let it cool down and made their changes and did another pull. I was at work so I don't know how many pulls they did. But man this thing is silky smooth now and pulls even harder. My torque is now up 40ft lbs. I cant wait for the drag strip now to confirm how much this helps.

Lou Im coming for ya!
THx again guys...
Have a good weekend guys.

so the 488 was wrong? what were you making before you noticed the improvement, and to what do you attribute the gain?

Wow. Pretty stout #'s man! It's amazing that proper tuning can yield high HP out of stock engines.

be careful with those numbers on a stocker...what type of fuel do you run, how much timing adavance are you seeing at the torque peak? at redline?

it's all fun and games (and bragging rights) until a motor lets go... and then you know u are having a bad day ...don't want to be the negative one, just be careful with close to 10psi on a stock motor--i hope you are running very high octane fuel

Bruce-
I look at what you've done with your car and wonder why I bothered to build my engine.......How do you keep that monster pointed in the right direction?

Hey guys, thx for all the kudos and heads up. This is not for bragging rights, all tho it does sound good. I just finished beatin on her pretty good. Im telling you the car feels so much smoother. It felt more snappy and ragged before, this thing feels sooooo good and smooth now. Wow, Im not kidding. I just want to give yal an idea.

So I was running 440whp 403wtrq before on 8-8.5 psi. Rob and Rico and the guys at Zcar felt as well as i did that the car could take a lil more. The plan was to get GTNPUZ's APS Tall boy and test it. However with these results Rob and Vince said nah this is good, the car feels fine, no pinging or Detonating. They were able to get it higher but tried to fine tune it by running it a lil richer.

Im at sea level and generally I mix 100 oct in frequently, this is a 91 tune for worst case scenarios in Cali.

Fernando, yeah I couldn't help it. I wanted a lil more.

488 was the correct whp as far as i know. I wasn't there and they didn't record it cuz no one believed it at first. they told me my A/F was pretty lean so they trimmed back a lil and it still make like 470 and they didn't like that because it wasn't where Rob and Vince like it to be. The gain was just from better experience and tuning I guess. I mean you can't just know everything unfortunately. The more your hands are on something the more you know. So I guess better learning of the program and how to apply the tweaks. I kinda wish I knew more cuz it looks like fun... I was able to see Bruce2 car run (Red Leader) but didn't have enough time at lunch to see mine.

Bigbri- We are going to F' it up at the track. Can't wait to see your setup.

Don't worry your in good hands... but sometimes it seems like "why did I do that or did I need that". The good thing is, you won't have that lil guy on your back wondering if it will ....up. I don't want to say it quite yet. But that should set you at ease... Can't wait to meet up when you come back down.

I wanted to as well but I just bought some 18" Kazera's and put DR's on those. Ive managed a 1.77 60ft so far so I guess its good enough. Also I think some of the others on this site will say that going to a 16 or 15" rim will yield better times due to rotational mass and the gearing change it accounts for. So it looks like October 5th Infineon Raceway. Im still trying to get some people to go out to SAC but its a lil harder cuz its further and on a different day.

Looks solid. The one thing i dont like is that lean out right in the tq peak. It gets pretty lean right there. The tq pk is very knock prone and usually where we would see a rich dip, then start to pull fuel past that.

The tune looks very smooth, i just personally dont agree with that lean spot.

I understand the dyno wideband will always read a bit different, we usually see between .5-1 point higher then our in car widebands.

What engine mgmt is this on?

Nice numbers. Yeah when you're all able to make it to Sac be sure and let us know. Hey Brian, I've got some DR's if you want to let me make a pass
