i have this on another thread, the one about my new exhaust, but i think i'm not getting the attention of all you guys
WHO HAS AN INNOVATE LC-1 and XD-1 and HAS SUCCESSFULLY CONNECTED TO THE e-manage ultimate FOR DATALOGGING A/F...please gimme the imputs forr:
the eu
and what settings/imputs (great detail please) for the innovate setup for the lc-1
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANKS

i am reading through the manual again...
so should i use the first analog signal or the second?...
"As factory programmed the first output simulates a typical narrow band oxygen sensor. The second output is programmed to output between 0 V for an AFR of 7.35 (gasoline) and 5.0V for an AFR of 22.39. Other curves of course are easily programmable."
and should we select"lambda" or "a/f"?, the default settings are LAMBDA
By selecting the ‘use Air-Fuel-Ratio’ button you can program the curve by AFR instead ofLambda. This does not change the programming, only the representation of the data. When programming by AFR the LM Programmer converts the number to Lambda before programming the LC-1.
ok, so analog output 2 uses a scale of 1-2v...what is analog one set as?
The LC-1's analog output 2 is factory programmed to provide a
linear output between 1V and 2V for an AFR of 7.35 to 22.39, allowing a digital voltmeter to be used as the AFR display. Any other linear output range between 0 and 5V can be programmed.
if anybody can clear this up for me, and even more desired, if anybody has the innovate setup and an emanage ultimate, please share the settings in BOTH the innovate calibration (in great detail) and the conversion numbers used in the EU
Thanks

so, i tried switching the analog wires, i connected the brown (analog2) wire to the white one leading into the emanage ultimate
how here's the deal, i go into the "lm programmer" and go to the anaolg output 2 tab..when i switch the settings to "A/F" instead of "lambda"...i go to hit the program button, only the button is not highlighted, meaning it will not allow me to press it...WTF???
what is wrong here...going into the analog 1 tab, it will not allow me to depress the program button here either?
i programmed my xd-1 yesterday (colors/range) with the key in the "on" position...i unplugged my ignition harness from the EU so as not to fry my coils...does the bosch sensor fail if the key is in the "on" position....what is going on here?

Hi Todd,
I've been cringing to get all my electronics hooked up but I'm not quite there yet. (been super busy lately) When I do, I will get back with you and we can tackle this together.
I have the same electronic set up so I'm sure we can figure it out.
I have so many experiments to run with all this stuff.

Use the 2nd analog output, you can input it into the ultimate in a few places. You will have to configure the EU to read the same range as your LC-1 (You've already found the "default range") *There is a screen shot in the thread I linked.*
There is a reference in the manual to smoothing out eratic logging, there is a smoothing settings. (Sarts looking for the manual)
I hope this helps!

i figured it out last night, looked on the innovate forum, somebody else had a similar problem...while nobody explained why the problem existed/or how...the fix was disconnecting the sensor from the brain and re-calibrating the sensor/lc-1...
now it works...and a very special thx to BADMONKEY--thx for your call and taking the time to help me out, i imputed the numbers you gave me and it was close (after i recalibrated and unhooked my gauge, i was able to see the a/f readout on the EU)...tuens out that the numbers that innovate has on their forum/instructions and the same numbers that sharif posted are pretty darn close (who knew., follow the instructions
)

Todd, I saw something in the Innovate forums that had 0-5 volts representing 10-20 AFR. I was playing around with the numbers in the EU setup and comparing the outputs. They seemed a little closer with a 9.5 and 22 in the boxes. I am going to throw in the 10-20 and see if it is dead on. I also am going to check the voltage difference between the EU and the LC-1. I was reading about the ground reference voltage and how a different ground can give a different voltage. They said to put the input and output voltage for the analog out to the same number like 1.5 or so and the read the voltage that the EU sees. This may be the cause of the slight difference in readings, between the XD-1 and the EU.
