I've had a turbo car that i went ***** out with. if i can build the motor and get 500whp on a daily driver on this one, i'll be happy. right now the car makes plenty of power and i'm satisfied with my single.
I am happy with the kit but I'd like a little more power. I went with the ST for several reasons and they remain valid for me. I always said I'd be happy with 385-400rwhp and I'm not quite there yet. I will however be investigating how to squeeze a little more power out of this puppy before I give up. I also really like the low-down power you get with the TT's.
Happy as can be with my S/T. The Turbonetics LOOKS great while it makes great power, and for "showy" cars, that's important. I'm getting ready to tune my car for 400 WHP, and for me, that's plenty.
Lol.. The turbonetics turbo is mounted up with the intake filter is which allows the headders to stay because there is room between the downpipe and headers VERY LITTLE.. but it can be done
I guess I'm confused.....how could you NOT have headers on this car, with or without a turbo kit.
Headers is usually an NA term. Exhaust manifolds are what you call "headers" on a turbo car. WRX's and STI's also have "headers" iirc, even though they are turbo......
I spoke to techs in Turbonetics. According to them the car actually does not make any addition power (if not less power) with non-stock headers or exhaust. Something to do with the exhaust gas velocity, the runners on headers must be narrower then on the NA cars, but with wider headers it actually takes longer to spool, although the top end may be better. I am getting the TN kit in the spring, can someone give an input on the headers/exhaust?
