Well not sure if I'll be able to help with the EU but I'll do the write up on the Turbo Timer for sure. It will be going on next weekend along with the Motordyne Iso Thermal spacer followed by some dyno numbers on it. Only thing going on this weekend is changing oil with some Turbonetics TS-1 but I'm sure you got that covered already.

Yes, please do a write up on it. I have a turbo timer sitting in my garage for a couple months, and havent gotten around to installing it yet, so a write up would definately help!

Cool, like I said all it will be next weekend. But I'll make sure to get tons of pics and exact wiring colors used during install. As stated I will be installing the Blitz FATT DCII. Some things may be a bit different then other brands but it should generally be the same...

As long as you explain what each wire coming coming off the timer is, it should be ok for other brands. I had contacted Richard at Autosport Wiring Harness about making a harness for our car to with a turbo timer, and he said he was way too busy to start a project like this. Maybe shoot him an email and see if hes free'd up some time and wants to do it now.

Well I spoke with BPL who installed this same timer on his Z and it seems fairly simple. Just one wire to cust apparentely and two wire to tap. I have the FSM at home so when me and protocav get busy on this we'll get exact wire colors and pics for every step...

Hey Robert!

When you dyno your plenum spacer, could you send me the pre/post text files? I would like to do some analysis on it in excell to really find out all the details.

Thanks bro,
Tony

You dont as long as you allow the car to cool down for a minute or two after a VERY hard run. I run my car hard pretty much everytime I drive it...Its a good idea to cool it down after hard runs...mainly to prevent oil coking....If you run the car at the track you absoultely MUST cool the car down when you pit...this just lets me walk away from the car when I park and cools it down no matter what. Not necessary but a nice add on...

I would take it to an alarm shop.

To make it work with an aftermarket, or even stock alarm (doors locked while running, then car shuts down and alarm or shock sensor arms) you're going to need some relays and expertise.

Well actually the doors will lock via the key fob even if the motor is running. AS for the alarm I have ways around that..At home and at work my car is visible and within range of my fob so when I hear it shut off...I arm the alarm...however I am working on making the alarm arm after the timer shuts off. I've actually been installing stereos and alarms for a while now so I can put something together..

I just spent the hole day at the place that installed my alarm. they were trying to make the alarm work with the turbo timer. they installed relays or some chit, but it still doesn't work 100% correctly. Before I couldn't arm the alarm while the car was running so if I didn't want to wait for the car to turn off, I would have to use the factory alarm to lock the car and walk away with out my alarm arming.

well what ever they did today, they were able to make it so I can arm the alarm with the car running, but my key pad does not work. I have a clifford G5 750 and it has a key pad that you have to enter a code after you drive off or the car will shut off and not allow you to restart it until the code is entered.

Anyone looking into turbo timer just get an alarm. they were telling me that a few alarms now have turbo timers as one of the features.

Another thing my turbo timer prevents me from using is my auto lights. Since the door does not open and close after the car shuts off, the lights won't turn off so now I can't use the auto light without returning to a dead battery. that was one of my favorite features of the car.

My buddy had the same problem on his last car and wired something up to make it work..I'll ask him tomorrow

You don't need a turbo timer on a car with a ball-bearing, water-cooled turbocharger, it takes a very short time (seconds) after hard driving for the turbo housing to cool down when you've got coolant rushing through it , plus synthetic oil is almost completely resistant to coking.
