Yea...I'm going to waste my time going out to california to see some body kitted out 350Zs with turbo kits, big brakes, and other aftermarket parts sitting in some shop...wow..that's hot.
What I want to see is a video of that Project_Z going 11.2 @ 137mph...which number one is a sorry @ss E.T. for a 137mph trap and second of all is most likely complete BS.
BTW- way to skirt the issue and not post any PROOF besides some pictures of 350Zs and a video of some Z's going around a track with some guy talking about supercar performance.

What a load of marketing BS CR@P. The picure show a roadster with a stillen S/Cer clearing hood and the intercooler hiding behind the mesh grille looks much more like the Stillen Air/water unit than the JWT intercoolers that I've seen pictures of.
The press release date of this is Jan 2005 (well before the JWT kit release...has it even been released??) and it claims to have a built motor with 596hp (doesn't specify crank or wheel and doesn't supply and dyno chart to back it up) and claims to run 11.2@137mph in the 1/4!!! No Z with 596hp...wheel OR crank will trap anywhere remotely NEAR 137mph. I want to see some timeslips and video of this car going down the track to the tune of 11.2@137.
VRT...you guys are a cocky bunch of BSers....
You guys have pictures of body kitted out 350Zs and G35 coupes with some sort of FI on all of them and claim to be "supercar" competition. You have a few dyno number slightly over 500whp with built motors which has been done by MULTIPLE individuals on this forum on STOCK motors.
Did you guys get the memo?? Built motor Z's are over the 600whp threshold now..and climbing every day.

Besides...seeing some modded Z's isn't going to prove ANYTHING.
Where's your 11.2@137 timeslip? That's what I want to see, and I shouldn't have to travel 1500mile to see it.
Your shop is weak stick until you show some REAL numbers..not just cr@p typed into a webpage.
No Z with 596hp...wheel OR crank will trap anywhere remotely NEAR 137mph
If this is the case, take the guy who ran 11.7 @ 120 when making 430hp. Add in the additional 16.6MPH to his trap speed and you are nearing his 137mph. If you want to apply that from my stock 230hp car runnning a 14.4 @ 98MPH, add in the additional 20mph and you are nearing the 11.7 @ 120.
Keep in mind, these are general ideas when bench racing, but most of the time the rule will work out well.
Yes its possible but everybody always wants proof of any accomplishments. Stop this BS already.
I also have a question on the 11.2@137 timeslip. It says you go 0-60 in 4.1 seconds. It says you go 100-150 in 6.9 seconds which is only 13 miles an hour below your trap speed. This screams BS! Produce a timeslip and pictures of the engine bay of these JWT kits. One of the cars in your video might have the kit. The others clearly have the Stillen supercharger. It just so happens that if you plug in the cars horsepower and weight into the online ET calculators you get between 11.1-11.2. Things that make you go hmmmmmm!

The part I don't understand is way JWT will supply VRT their TT kits to be installed on 10 customer cars when it's not officially released?? Are these prototypes? So are you saying that someone can take their car to VRT now and have the JWT TT kit installed when it hasn't officially been released ??

That works for slow cars...but when you get to cars in the 10-11 second range...you have to deal with much more wind resistance. Wind resistance goes up exponentially after 100mph so picking up the 17mph from 120-137 takes gobs more power than picking up the the 16mph that I picked up with my turbo kit and nearly 200whp more.....

LOL this thread has turned into a riot. WA2GOOD why are you avoiding the questions about providing proof? Where are the dynos, timeslips, videos actually showing turbocharged cars with production JWT turbo kits. You keep saying "come out to the west coast and we'll show you." Here's a hint. No one is going to believe a single thing you say, or bother coming out to your shop when you fail to provide a single modicum of proof of any of these claims. 596hp trapping 137mph in a car that weighs 3500lbs withdriver? Please. You'd need ~700 to the wheels to do that. 596 to the wheels would have a Z trapping 132 at best, 596 at the crank (~510 to the wheels) would have a Z trapping ~125-126. These are all best case scenarios with IDEAL density altitude, something just about as common at a California track as pigs flying past the top floor of the Sears Tower. Not to mention a driver that knows how to drive (which is obviously not the case if someone's running 11.2 @ 137, what did they have like a 2.9 60 foot time? What track were these 137mph traps achieved at? Where is the proof? Show us the timeslips. Show us the dynos.
I just called JWT and asked them about Violent Racing. They said quote "they have installed a few prototype kits." JWT said the kit is going to be ready for production and general sale around the first of the year at this point. Your posts are suggesting that the kit is readily available. It's not. It's undergoing CARB emissions testing right now, and the estimated street date is the first of the year at the earliest.
Stop blowing smoke without providing proof to the people you are attempting to market your products to. It does not reflect well for your business. Show us proof, not far fetched claims.

Whats funny is I asked some people that have a pretty damn good relationship with JWT about VRT and the word I got was that VRT was provided two JWT kits for their personal cars...no more no less. SO I have no doubt they have two JWT kits. What I don't believe is that they actually installed and tested a Greddy, SFR, APS, Power Enterprise, Jotech, and Ultimate Racing twin turbo kits. If you did and the JWT is so FAR superior do you have test numbers? Dnyos, timeslips, laptimes? Of course during testing I hope all things remained equal such as suspension, car installed on, other motor mods, etc. Otherwise the "you tested every kit and JWT was the best" statement is a load of crap.

I believe the same goes for Jotech, though I could be wrong there
These threads, and so many like them, are totally useless. The JWT kit might be the best thing since sliced bread, and hell, it might even come with
Eva Longoria in a catholic school girl uniform to help me install it..but it's not on the market.
Bottom line...like everything else for this car...there is no "best" - there is "best for a particular customer"

As with any claim, it is wise to be able to show dyno's and other "hard data". I strongly recommend that anyone (especially those representing a company or product) making a claim of 1/4 mile time/speed or HP/torque pulls have available the documentation to support those claims. This forum shares information and we want the information to be accurate. Doing this will reflect highly for you as a person/company. As most of you know, even with dyno's being posted, many people will still question type of dyno, dyno testing procedure etc..

Someone needs to make a TT comparison thread and they can battle it out there.
There's no more info yet but from what i've seen it may end up being around 10k.

Hello, I was reading your posts and questions. Looks as if everyone has you more confused.LOL. Since you are relativley local you should call me for some advise. We are the first and sole distributor for the world renoned JWT TT kit. Jim Wolf Technology has had the best Nissan reputation over any body for years. People have been waiting for over 2 years for this kit. Bottom line is I can install this (best and most reliable) kit hands down on your car now. Call me any time, and i will explain. Why would anyone settle for an inferier kit.
Hope to talk to you soon and make your choice easier,
Scott at VRT (xxx) xxx-xxxx
