Default New Twin Turbo kit

We have just completed prototyping our HKS SS twin turbo kit for the 350Z. The kit will be a complete twin turbo kit with complete intercooler setup.

This kit has been prototyped on a Japanese-spec right-hand drive vehicle, left-hand drive vehicle fitment has yet to be determined.

I hope you're much better automotive engineers than you are photographers, but the thanks for the heads up anyway.

Anything from TS/HKS is going to be absolute top quality. This, however, usually comes at a big price to US buyers. I'd be willing to guess more than the APS TT.

Agreed, but if this had been out when I got my Greddy kit, i probably would have just saved for the HKS cause I am a huge HKS fan.

Hell yeah, I am so glad I decided to give tuners a few more months to put out more FI options before I jumped in. I can not wait to get more info on this kit!

+1 HKS always makes top notch quality and reliable products. I've never been dissapointed with anything I bought that was made by HKS.

This will be expensive, but I'm sure it will be worth every penny.

In case any of you have seen the TS "single turbo kit" also known as an HKS turbo and an exhaust manifold (no i/c, no piping, no fuel system, no electronics) going for mere $6K, one can only imagine the price on this, undoubtfully top quality/fit/finish system. And moreover, how many people had any success tinkering with the HKS rotrex unit?

This will be up there with the $12K Jun stroker kit. Top quality, price out of this world, and a total overkill for street drivers. Unless someone is building an all out race car, I would say it is very foolish to even consider this kit. There already is a kit that takes the VQ to its safe limits without blowing it up (called APS) and a kit that permits you to tune and retune and re-retune (Greddy), which if does blow up the motor, does so by overboosting or bad tuning. That's it. Unless you are a label monger (oooooh, HKS.....) or a prospective JGTC racer, relax. If you want to go TT, you already have your options on the table.
I by no means am trying to start a fight here, so please post your arguments, if you prove me wrong maybe I will look into getting a second mortgage and getting one of these kits.

+1, this kit is going to high priced indeed. If their kit is going to be anything like their headers.. performance wise.. watch out!

Having another player in the TT market will only help drive prices down further, I don't see why its' a bad thing to have more options on the market. I for one don't want to be limited by just APS (which requires a Unichip tuner to work properly) & Greddy (which has a great chance to blow engines without proper tuning) options because neither of them are very safe & very limited as far as safety goes. If HKS can be carb legal when it comes out that'd be great too so I for one will be looking foward to this offering from them.

Not to be a pickey , but I note a poor design choice in these pics. It is poor practice to mount the O2 sensor ( as shown in the DPs), in the near 6-O-clock position. It's the absolute worst orientation for an O2 sensor. Cold start moisture buildup can cause early sensor demise. Not a guaranteed failure , but an oversite tha I'm suprised HKS would make.

I hope it doesn't be as crappy as the HKS Supercharger.

ActionJackson, point well made. I guess it will all become clear when the kit does hit the market. Quite frankly, I am somewhat pissed b/c for the 3rd time in a row, as soon as I think that my mind about FI is made up, something esle comes out and puts me back to square one....

I was going to order my APS this past week but thanks got that i didnt becouse if this kit from HKS comes out like the ones on supras and skylines in japan then u can count me as a buyer. Im a huge fan of HKS and always wondered why the hell did HKS come out with a supercharger instead of TT set up but well here it is and im willing to wait to see what it does. Any news on it comming out soon.

That's understandable, but hey, that just means more time to save for maybe a built engine with the FI option of your choice for even more power

It says the HKS SS twin turbo kit, so I would assume they are using their custom spec'd gt-ss turbos on it. They use them as upgrades for silvia's and whatnot.
