I'm learning loads of stuff here about the car and Vortech

So a conclusion is that there is probably no optimal tune but there are any number of optimum tunes at a particular RPM as a function of a/f and timing.

There are a lot of ways to 'skin a tuning cat' then - a British expression.

Any other important factors (apart from minimising detonation whilst optimising power) that tuners consider when doing the a/f and timing optimisation?

But there still needs to be some advance towards redline, for the engine to operate correctly.

Would you do the same thing on a stock block ?

BUMP - Good question?

When TT is on full boost, I would think trq curve declines vs rpm beyond peak trq like a NA trq curve (shapewise, I mean)? So maybe the same timing logic applies? SHARIF?

Yes, what I wouldnt use as much advance across the board.

For instance, on a stock high compression motor, you might start at 10 degrees advance, and work your way up to 20 degrees. On a built low compression motor, you migh start at 15 degrees total advance and end at 25. These are just numbers, as it depends on boost, AF, octane, CR, etc....but just to give you a general idea of my logic.

Are you referring to both maps? A/B?
